This grassy meadow camp is surrounded by basalt canyon walls and oak trees. There are three ponds at this camping spot and trails to hike around our White River canyon property. This is a leave-no-trace campsite; pack it in, pack it out. Please message me about smaller groups for the eclipse or if you have any other questions.

Other things to note

We are very strict on the no fire policy, propane burning stoves only. This area of Oregon is arid high desert grassland and extremely dry this time of year. Wild fire danger is very high and a very scary and real thing that everyone takes extreme caution to avoid.

Great little town, nice grassy area for camping. Bring your bug spray and experience the night sky the way nature originally intended!

We really enjoyed our time here, and plan on returning in the future! It was secluded, peaceful, and the perfect escape from our day to day routine.

Our group stayed at Fred's campsite right next to the white river. Super helpful instructions from Jennifer to point us in the direction of a place to camp on the property that would be well shaded to beat the heat. The ground was made for camping and soft. The river was picturesque and clean. Very close to Maupin where we rafter that day. Beautiful area! A little pricey, but worth it to not camp with a bunch of RVs and get your own slice of the river.

Location was lovely, had a great time getting away from the city for a night. Would definitely stay again to adventure more around the area.
