This is a lovely spacious apartment, well located for all the activities around Loch Lomond. Our family had a great time here. The kitchen is well set up and has both a dishwasher and washing machine which are always useful when travelling with a family. The owners also were very thoughtful and left us some of the basics like milk, butter, bread, tea and coffee to get us started. There are a good selection of pub / restaurants etc in the area, though we mostly ate in. For provisions, Balloch itself has a Co-op and there is also an Aldi and Iceland down the road in Alexandria within easy reach if you have a car. There are lots of activities to do in the area and beautiful places to visit. For those without a car, Balloch can be reached by train and there are ferries that operate across the Loch which can take you to lots of different areas.
The one thing I would caution which is in no way the fault of the owners, is that as this being an apartment you can be impacted by the behavior of tenants in the other apartments - unfortunately we were kept awake by people in the flat above (also a holiday let going by the signs on it) who decided to sit out and have very loud conversations on their balcony from 2-4am a couple of nights so I would recommend bringing ear plugs if you have them and you're a light sleeper.
All in all we had a great stay here.
