Chris, our host, was very prompt and positive in corresponding with us about our booking. Really appreciated that! The cottage was well furnished and fitted out with everything we needed (and lots of heating that we'd have needed in winter). The two bedrooms are both upstair…

Lovely traditional cottage, very spacious, quiet location and ideal for cyclists and walkers. Easy reach of shops (about 2 miles) and local pub for meals. On the Weardale Way and close to C2C routes.

the cottage has character and a lot of space, there is all you need for your stay. Place is very quiet and there is a parking space for the car. I loved the fact I could have washing machine and a dryer. Fridge is present but no freezer.

The house is quite spacious although with a slightly unusual layout with the 2 staircases and well equipped. The location is outstanding and we would recommend the local pub, walks around the village and the local waterfalls across the downs.
