Perched atop the beautiful Mt. Washington Hills is this midcentury modern oasis. Wake to views of your private patio through the floor-to-ceiling windows with a cup of complimentary coffee/tea. Take in the sound of LA breeze and chirping morning birds -- no traffic noise on this peaceful street! Sharpen your culinary skills in the beautifully designed contemporary kitchen or take a short ride to trendy York or Figueroa to fulfill all your cafe, restaurant and shopping desires.

The space
*To ensure a safe and clean space for our guests, we have enhanced our cleaning routine beyond our normal thorough cleaning. All surfaces including counters, table tops, door handles, cabinet handles, sinks, faucets, etc are disinfected with Lysol, bleach, and/or alcohol. Gloves are worn during cleaning and the air is purified.

This tranquil hideaway offers lots of charm, comfort and contemporary design in an airy open layout. It’s design and decor was inspired by Scandinavian architecture with MidCentury and Southern California accents. Utilizing 80% reclaimed materials and green qualifying lighting and water fixtures, we went to great lengths to design an environmentally friendly home that we are honored to share with fellow travelers like you!

Tuck into the new luxury plush pillowtop mattress for a great night's sleep. The couch doubles as a twin daybed if you're traveling with a friend (it’s not a mattress but is the size of a twin) and there are extra sheets in the armoire and extra pillows and blanket on the full bed.

Watch free streaming movies and TV shows on the Smart TV via Amazon Prime Video or Hulu. Put the designer kitchen to use for a night in and dine al fresco on the warmly lit patio.

The bathroom is stocked with body wash, shampoo and fresh towels. There is a brand new whisper quiet AC/heater for those warm sunny days or chilly nights.

Los Angeles, California, United States

Of all the neighborhoods in Northeast L.A. — if not the entire city — none have changed as rapidly as Highland Park. The area started the 20th century as an artsy enclave filled with handsome Craftsman homes. Today, lifelong citizens and, yes, gentrifiers have turned Highland Park into one of L.A.'s must-visit neighborhoods where old-school taquerias and hip new bistros coexist.

Highland Park sits a few miles up the 110 from Downtown L.A., just south of Eagle Rock and Pasadena. Its tree-lined residential streets mix with a walkable urban culture, particularly along the burgeoning York Boulevard, a street stocked with trendy gastropubs and art galleries. More recently, Figueroa Street has found itself as another source of increasing pedestrian activity, thanks to its Metro Gold Line stop and a burst of nightlife development and some of the best restaurants in the city.

Highland Park has just as many contemporary landmarks as it does ones that predate the neighborhood’s distinction as one of L.A.’s hippest. From a steampunk-esque bowling alley and bar to off-the-beaten-path museums and hidden speakeasies, there's a unique adventure waiting around every historic corner.
