Unwind in this inspiring, sunny and stylish bedroom, with original working fireplace, located within a newly renovated, 150 year old Kalk Bay fisherman's cottage.
The bedroom, with a luxurious queen size bed and built in wardrobe is a bright St. James haven to rest your travelling feet - complete with a comfortable armchair setup by the fireplace - which creates a wonderful nook to journal, read, to muse, or to simply take in the stunning mountains of the Southern Cape which can be seen from two, of the three sash windows in the room. The room has original wood flooring, and owing to the three windows in the bedroom space, this is a very light and fresh space. We will provide locally-sourced, fair-trade coffee and tea, as well as filtered water and you are welcome to make use of the house kitchen, to prepare meals or store items in the fridge. The house, including linens and towels are cleaned exclusively with all-natural, environmentally friendly cleaning products. Living in such close proximity to the mountains, and the oceans, the protection of nature, our environment is of upmost importance to us, and we endeavour to use as many environmentally friendly practices as possible in our home. The guest bathroom is modern and fresh, with a rain shower head, vanity sink and toilet. Towels and linens will be provided.
This is a new room I am listing within my house - please see my other listings for relevant reviews of my home and hosting.
Beyond the bedroom and guest bathrooms, you are welcome to use the kitchen, living room and outdoor courtyard on the ground floor.

We are both very passionate about Cape Town particularly the natural treasures this place has to offer and we feel grateful to be able to share these with visitors! We have the gift of knowing Cape Town as both a local, and with the fresh eyes of a newly 'adopted' capetonian. Through our various interests and work, we have a varied and long list of suggestions for visitors to the cape... whether that's the best hikes, secret beaches, gastronomical experiences, antique book shops or art exhibitions - there is so much to do here, and we look forward to sharing!
