The space

Cabin One is a brand new cabin on the Santa Fe River. It has a full size bed and two twin loft beds. Your cabin has an air conditioner and ceiling fan to keep you cool and comfortable. Cabin camping allows you to 'camp' without ever pitching a tent. You will sleep comfortably on our memory foam mattresses with your own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels.
*If you'd like us to provide sheets, pillows, blankets and towels we have sets available for purchase. Please notify us in advance to ensure we have enough in stock.*
We are a wooded campground with easy access for kayakers on the Santa Fe to stop and stay for the night. A campfire ring and grate are just outside your cabin door. Our bathhouse is adjacent to the cabins. We have two separate private bathrooms with ample changing area and hot showers. We do ask that all personal items are kept in your cabin and not left in the bathhouse.
Check in is at 2pm (Check in after 8pm incur additional fees) and check out is at 11am. This is a non smoking cabin and we ask that if you do smoke on the property please extinguish your cigarettes/cigar and dispose of properly.

Guest access

The sparkling Santa Fe is easily accessible as it is about 200ft from the porch of your cabin. Lots of hiking and even canoe/Kayak rentals on site

Interaction with guests

Bobby is on site 24hrs and available to assist with canoe, kayak, tube rentals as well as with information on the many springs and sites to see in the area.

Other things to note

We are located minutes away from the Ichetucknee Springs State Park (4 miles) where you can float down a crystal clear spring fed river for hours as you admire the beautiful flora and fauna this natural part of Florida is known for. Ginnie Springs (12 miles) is a must see spring as well. There is fishing to be done off the Santa Fe and if you are a boater or kayaker there is plenty of exploring to do as you venture down to the Itchetucknee and Suwannee Rivers. We now offer canoe and kayak rentals and even a trip down river. You can see Ginnie, Rum, and Blue Springs all in the same day.

We had this camping trip planned for months, but as the date approached the weather took a turn for the worse, with low temperatures expected in the upper 20’s. We weren’t going to cancel the trip, but decided to move to a cabin instead of a tent. The cabins in Bowman’s Landing turned out to be a PERFECT choice for us. The caretaker Bobby clearly has ensuring our ultimate comfort as his mission objective. He provided a space heater which was more than enough to keep us warm in the cabin at night (we had to turn it down eventually), and stood ready to help make sure we had a raging fire whenever we wanted one. The grounds were incredibly clean, same goes for the cabin we stayed in. The restroom facilities were spotless as well, and there was a space heater in there too. The cabins are in a row on top of a ridge, overlooking lower land and the river. It’s about a 15-20 second walk to the river’s edge from any of the cabins, through land that is kept neat and free of large debris. There is a larger fire pit area near the water, plus each cabin has its own dedicated fire pit with a grill cover, which we used to cook nearly every meal. The grill surface was clean and in good shape as well. The cabin door locks and you’re given a key, so valuables can be secured while you’re away, and you’ll feel safe while sleeping (not that it felt needed). Bobby and the other guys we saw from time to time were nothing short of outstanding, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and they very obviously cared a lot about their land, their operation, and their guests. Rest assured we’ll be back, and next time we’ll take Bobby up on the offer to take us up river and drop us off for a paddle back, stopping at the various springs along the way. They’ll rent you a kayak and everything! We highly recommend this place!!

I had a wonderful stay! I had dives planned at Ginnie Springs, and it was only a short drive from the cabin. The cabin and the property were perfect for feeling totally at peace and immersed in nature, with all the comforts of a clean and comfortable space. It's a nice "rustic" cabin feel, without the totally rustic part. The electricity was a very nice to have, and I was very happy to find not a single bug inside! :) The night I was there it was a little chilly, but Bobby provided me with a space heater that made the cabin more than comfortable for a good nights sleep. The property was very clean and well maintained, and I felt very comfortable strolling around the beautiful property and enjoying the Santa Fe river. The smell of the wood cabins warmed my heart. Bobby was an absolute pleasure, and he went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and make sure I had an enjoyable stay. I will definitely return when I'm back down that way. Do yourself a favor and spend lots of time relaxing there! It's perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The property was nestled away on the Santa Fe river, it's very quiet and very quaint. All of the cabins are hand built and pretty unique. Each site has its own bonfire pit. We saw a lot of deer, some wild turkeys, a kingfisher, some other birds, hundreds of frogs and a praying mantis near by. If you are looking to retreat in to nature but still like the comforts of a bathroom and a tiny house like cabin then this is definitely your place! The host, Bobby is really wonderful as well. We will definitely return :)
