The space

This Lake House is actually a private park setting with an expansive manicured lawn over the lake. Lake Cuyamaca Four Seasons Lake House 5000 feet above sea level, this is a 2500 square foot mountain home with the modern amenities of a fine hotel. We furnish the absolute best Featherbeds from Frontgate to ensure that our guests receive an excellent plush- night's rest. There are NO "pullouts" or "bunkbeds" for our guests but instead, we have quality beds and quality bedding. Plus another 1000 square feet of outside decking with 2 BBQs overlooking Lake Cuyamaca. Tables for outside decks so that you can have memorable Breakfasts, Brunches, and Dinners while facing and overlooking the entire lake, mountains, and meadows. Imagine, meals, drinks, fellowship, at the deck tables while gazing over the lake, meadows, and mountains. It is truly a SPECTACULAR setting!!! It is the perfect place for a family gathering, a romantic get-a-way, or a gathering of good friends.

Not only can you wine and dine overlooking the entire lake, you can do so while watching and listening to our 25-foot waterfall stream with a walkover bridge. This bridge leads to a large lawn area with private fire pit that overlooks everything!!! Above the waterfall stream is a very large Babmar Daybed that is situated in the middle of a stand of trees.
It is truly like being in a shaded treehouse with water flowing below you. It is the perfect place situated on a hexagon deck where our guests can enjoy quiet reading, napping, or meditation. The fire pit area is where you can sit around a cozy oak fire and socialize or roast S'mores. The owners have planted hundreds of flower bulbs, flowers from Oregon, and flowering trees for Spring and Summer blooms.
For another Treehouse-like experience, there is still another large private deck outside of the King Master accessible through French doors and sliding invisible screens. This private deck is also amongst the trees and is 20 feet above the ground and stream level. The views from here at simply astounding!

These incredible views are actually from the lake house itself. You don't have to walk or drive to other locations to experience this. The experience is from every location at the lake house. The Cuyamaca Four Seasons Lake House is in the Cuyamaca Resort district and it borders Cuyamaca State Park. This State Park is the jewel of San Diego County and it draws enthusiasts who come for hiking, boating & fishing, bird and nature watching, star & night-sky gazing, and horseback riding & mountain bike riding (on designated trails). The hiking views are breath-taking. You will be able to overlook the Anza Borrego desert, see south into Mexico, North to San Jacinto near Palm Springs, West to the Ocean, ... or you can see all at once from a high vantage point. Deer and Wild Turkeys are routinely seen on and about the property and along the meadows and mountain sides. You will most likely see these animals up close as you relax on the decks. In addition, there are bobcat, marmots, raccoons, and foxes. There are mountain lions that live in these mountains because they feed on the deer herds. For this reason, It is best to be practical when hiking and do not travel alone and do not permit children to wander by themselves on the mountain trails. The Cuyamacas are an area of incredible beauty but it is a wilderness that is home to various animals.
There are birds of every kind that surround you including, Hawks and various raptors, Woodpeckers, Jays, Canadian Geese, Loons to name a few. There are also a pair of Bald Eagles that live in the trees near the lake. It is a special treat to see the Bald Eagles chirping while soaring over the lake. The bird feeders are on poles that extend 15 feet so that guests can see the various array of birds close-up at eye level.

For more leisurely pursuits, you can go to the old gold-mining town of Julian, about 9 miles up the road. Once there, you can peruse quaint shops, visit the winery, go on gold mine tours, stop by the soda fountain, or indulge in fine or casual dining. Of course, Julian is best known for home-made Apple Pie and you have your choice of several pie making bakeries.

As mentioned, we have very comfortable real beds for 10 and the lake house can accommodate more if needed. DISCOUNTS FOR 2, 4, OR 6 GUESTS.

We welcome you to the Cuyamaca Four Seasons House and we know that you will be mesmerized by the views, pleased with the amenities, and energized by the beauty and nature that surrounds you.
