Beautiful Beach/Summer Cottage located on the Island of Jamestown, overlooking Newport, RI. Minutes from the Newport Bridge and Newport, RI. Property is set back a couple hundred feet from Narragansett Bay and has Water Rights and a fabulous view, particularly with beautiful sunrises. There is an optional mooring available. Home is clean, updated and well decorated. Home has beds for 4 people and has a high-end Frontgate inflatable bed for 2 more. Great for families, couples or singles.

The space

Easy one minute walk to the water. Very large lawn. The house is great for families (with Children), Couples or Singles. There are two Kayaks available for use. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood with significant distances between the homes. What makes this spot unique is that Jamestown is very quiet and with a short ride over the bridge to famous Newport you have great attractions (Newport Mansions, Cliff Walk, Ocean Drive, Polo, etc..) and nightlife. Jamestown also has a great place for live music in town (2 miles from home). Jamestown has a town beach and the Newport beaches are right across the bridge (one mile from the house). Other great beaches (such as Narragansett Beach) are close by as well. I think you will really enjoy this home and the location

Guest access

The entire home is available for use

Interaction with guests

I will be available at all times to assist any guest. As you can see from my response rate I am extremely responsive to guest needs

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at Dennis's house. The house is in a beautiful location with fantastic views from the Living area, and extremely comfortable throughout. Dennis was an excellent host and responded to any queries we had virtually immediately each time. We had only been in Newport once before, for a day, and that during the height of summer so it was really busy and crowded. We found November a perfect time to visit and see the sights and visit the restaurants we wanted without the crowds or queues. Jamestown provided the best of both worlds being close to the busier, lively Newport but with a more small town, local feel to it, so I would imagine it would be a great summer stay also.

Dennis's home in Jamestown, RI is beautiful, comfortable and one of the most serene places I've been to. It is a short 10 min drive into Newport, RI - close enough to do all that Newport has to offer (mansions, sailing, food, etc). But also away from the hustle and bustle. The home is spacious, clean and well stocked with tea/coffee and other basic supplies. And yes - it faces the water and has that amazing sunrise view! Dennis is an incredible host -very prompt with responding to questions and had an amazing recommendation list of things to do. I strongly recommend this home for a fantastic and reasonably priced Rhode Island experience.

The location is great. It is really nice to wake up to the view of the water and the walk to the beach is easy and short. The use of the kayaks is a great bonus as well. Jamestown is a cute town and great option to avoid all the tourists on the Newport side. I wouldn't recommend the house to families with small children. We had our 6 years old son and there were lots of items set out as decoration that could easily be broken. All in all the house is in a great spot and is comfortable.

Response from Dennis:
Thank you for the feedback Alexandra. I will take a look at any of the small items (most are table decorations) that could be broken. Thanks again, Dennis
