This beautiful modern apartment, literally just 3 minutes drive North from the centre of Elounda, is located right on the watersedge of the bay of Mirabello with it's crystal blue waters, and even has a view of the island of Spinalonga, the famous Venetian fortress turned leper settlement. Housing up to 3 people, it is both ideal for a family that wants a relaxing swimming holiday as well as people that want to enjoy the nightlife of Elounda.

The space
The house sits just on the edge of the bay of Elounda which has such quiet waters, that it was used as a waterplane airport by the RAF in the 30's on their way to the middle east. As background it has the island of Kalydon, and even a view of the island of Spinalonga, the famous Venetian fortress turned leper settlement. With a large front garden, you can really enjoy all that view! Inside, you will find all you require. From a fully equipped kitchen, to a flat screen TV with satellite and a desk to work on, to a bath with a washer, iron and a hairdryer, you name it, it is available for you to use! There are stairs leading to the raised terrace and the entrance of the villa.

Event Horizon is located as close to the waterfront you can get, without getting wet feet exiting through the front door! As such it is ideal for people that like to go swimming. Those that prefer something organised, a few hundred meters to both the north and the south, one can find organised beaches. It is less than 5 minutes by car or a less than 30 minutes stroll along the water edge to both the small town of Plaka, across Spinalonga, and the bigger, sparkling town of Elounda. Twenty minutes by car to the south, you find yourself in the capital of the province, Agios Nikolaos with its beautiful harbour and depthless lake. Along the coast, and further south you find yourself in some of the most beautifull beaches the island has to offer. To the north east, you can go back in time and lose yourself in the small mountain villages of north east Crete. An hour south west you can visit the Lasithi plateau, where the province gets it’s name from. A somewhat larger drive, but with stunning views of the Mirabello bay, is the road to SItia.

The most valuable times in my life took place when I did travel. The places i have seen, the people i have met and the events that i lived during my traveling are most precious memories for me. That was the reason I took the decision to refurbish two apartments and give the opportunity to others to come and visit a place of unique beauty. It is located on the seaside road that connects the Elounda channel, the picturesque village of Elounda and the sunken Minoan town of Olous with the fishermen village of Plaka opposite the Venetian castle-island of Spinalonga. We give you the opportunity of a pleasant stay, 20 meters from the sea. Elounda and Plaka is 20-30 minutes walk. A place in the nature that you will fall in love with the first sight. A place that you will enjoy the mediterranean way of life. "EVENT HORIZON" apartments are waiting for you.
