One double bed, big table, hotpot, oven, WiFi, bathtub and "sofa" bed. Expect old building! Recommended for easy-going persons. Shared bathroom, toilet, and kitchen. Private room.

Train station just in front of apartment. Exactly two metro stops away (Giesshubel) on S4 from Zurich HB (mainstation) running every 20 minutes. A 10 minutes ride. Between Sihlcity/Manesseplatz near Schmiede Wiedikon. Available is a room of flat, on the crossroad of 2 train stations, tram, grocery, butcher, and a bus station. One double bed, one single bed, a big table, hotpot, oven, and WiFi and Bathtub. Expect old building. About 35 to 45 min from airport by train to apartment.
Suggest easy going people who are noise tolerant sleepers, as it's on the crossroads and train station. This is not a child-safe apartment. Please communicate and confirm if you are going to be late ahead of time. No one wants to be waiting for hours for a late guest or host, and nor would you.
Luckily, this building has an elevator. The room has a big table you can work on with bright lights and WiFi Internet only. Can be leased are laser printer and scanner for productive people who get bored of just relaxing on the sofa or the bed. Kitchen and washing machine are available.
Unlike most Zurich apartments are generally hardly lit, quadratic, sterile, TV centric. They are too badly illuminated to do any serious reading at night, and it probably eventually sends people to the psycho-the-rapist during Winters.
Be warned that this is in a busy area, and a practical space, NOT a quiet fancy-smancy place, and there is absolutely no TV around, because I feel TV makes you passive and lazy.
There is one key set for the private room (your bedroom) and apartment for added privacy and liberty. For groups of more than 3, you will have 2 additional single beds. Bathroom is shared with host, possibly other guests.
The room faces the riverside. You can even go walking or jogging in the refreshing treeline pedestrian only street next to the river which goes on to Zurich HB (mainstation). It is in the city near the transport, so it isn't a quiet place. It is where the locals live, away from the tourist traps.
Smoking is not allowed indoors. Parking is hard and around here so better you come by public transportation. Private parking costs about 45chf/day but that's not in this building.
Clean sheets (never ironed) and pillow covers per stay. One big bath towel will be provided every 3 days. Earplugs are available upon request.
I think Swiss drinking water one of the best tap water in the world. But, you can enjoy the state of the art Japanese water filter system attached to the faucet, if you want to make it even cleaner.
Washing machine can be arranged, if available. There is also an ironing board. Water boiler in the room for your convenience.
Usually, there is kitchen access for the guests, given priority to the host. You also have access to a forced convection/microwave oven, so you can bake your pizza or even cook meat.
Internet via WiFi only. No physical cables. B&W laser printer (Brother HL-2135W) may be leased for a fee.
Also a small speaker system, document scanner, (Canon Canoscan LIDE 100) may be available on request. You are responsible for setting it up and trouble shooting the equipment.
I do the best to keep the WiFi Internet running, but on rare occasions it can be down.
Interaction with guests
Usually, the host will be available for check-in and check-out unless you are late. ALWAYS communicate plenty ahead of time, if you are late via SMS or mobile, if you want to avoid a nightmare! Please make sure you get my verification that I received the message, especially because foreign mobile phones often have problem with international SMS.
Other things to note
Zurich is perhaps the most expensive city besides Oslo in the world. Don't consider coming to Switzerland on a budget as you probably won't enjoy it and feel ripped off! The Swiss Franc is very strong.
Only few minutes away by walk where you can jump in a Spa with a Sauna, Turkish bath and massage at Sihlcity Asia Spa. Within the shopping complex, there is also cinema complex, lots of shops open until 8pm, and a supermarket open until 9pm. There is a green grocery, "Alima" that is open until 8pm and a butcher "Keller" that is open till 6:30pm at Manesseplatz.
If you are into shopping, shops usually close at 8pm and on Sundays. Exceptions is the basement of Zurich mainstation, where there is a shopping mall open even Sundays and until 9pm.
At night the area around Langstrasse is open past midnight and great for nightlife. Christmas to 1st week January is quite dead so I recommend Swiss mountains, Paris or Vienna!
The blue drum in the kitchen is a sealed compost container. Please put only biodegradeable food stuff, no plastic, etc. It smells very bad, so please open it ONLY after, cooking, eating, and cleaning and seal it properly afterwards. Please close the door to the kitchen with the windows open to clear the room. The city collects it only once 3 weeks so be careful!
In Western Europe we flush used toilet paper in the toilet, not in the trash. However do not flush plastic and trash in the toilet.
Sorry, little children not allowed here because it's not child safe.
Please look elsewhere if you want to ask for refunds or discounts. You will not be refunded even if you decide to leave earlier.
Guard my keys with your dear life, because it's incredibly expensive to replace Swiss registered keys as they cannot be copied and requires an expensive bureaucratic lengthly process which inconveniences many people. At the minimum your will lose your entire deposit if you lose or forget to return the keys. You can understand that we don't want to replace the locks for the keys you lost. If I don't have it at check out, that is considered a lost key. Maybe tie it around your neck so you will have it even if you were to become unconscious.
No smoking indoors. Please be quiet especially after 10:30 pm as neighbors will be sleeping. Please take shower or bath between 6am and 10:30pm. Please No pets, No young children, or babies.
Please take shoes off before you enter rooms.
We will take a photo of your ID upon arrival for regulatory compliance reasons.

Much like Darth Vader, I decided to stop working for The Emperor and decided to side with Luke Skywalker, Yogi and his friends. Yogi learned me martial arts, and I like to carry around my light saber, and stow my aircraft in my apartment.

"The sick individual finds himself at home with all other similarly sick individuals. The whole culture is geared to this kind of pathology. The result is that the average individual does not experience the separateness and isolation the fully schizophrenic person feels. He feels at ease among those who suffer from the same deformation; in fact, it is the fully sane person who feels isolated in the insane society — and he may suffer so much from the incapacity to communicate that it is he who may become psychotic. In the context of this study the crucial question is whether the hypothesis of a quasi-autistic or of low-grade schizophrenic disturbance would help us to explain some of the violence spreading today." - Erich Fromm
