As we mentioned to you, our caretaker looks after key collection and contact details for her were provided in advance of your travel. She is a local lady and generally meets all guests in person, but unfortunately this doesn't always happen, depending on the time of arrival, so alternative arrangements sometimes have to be made. I'm sorry if you felt this was a let down, as I'm sure she would have been more than willing to chat to you in person, or offer assistance had she been aware. The maintenance issues, I wasn't aware of and I will certainly follow up on. Your stay fell at the end of a very busy Summer season, so with lettings back to back it can be difficult to keep track of any of the smaller issues, bulbs, etc. without feedback from our guests. It's unfortunate that cleaning and maintenance issues were not pointed out to our caretaker, many of which may have been quickly rectified to your satisfaction. We also provide both of our direct contact numbers to provide guests with the opportunity to contact us in person and let us know how we can make their stay more pleasant, or provide us with the opportunity to resolve any issues we can effectively, without any interference with the holiday.
We recently had the interior and exterior of the house completely re-painted and the floors sanded and varnished, as well as a new T.V., fridge and oven installed, so we do take pride in the upkeep of our holiday home and intend to carry out further improvements in due course, so I'll certainly be taking all your comments on board.
