Quiet, private and unique, this custom built studio is on a 6 acre property perched on the Homer Bluff 2 miles from town. Take the trail among spruce, alder, and birch to view soaring eagles at eye level and pick your own salad from the greenhouse.

The space

This is a place with a difference. Everything is custom built, very clean, and optimally functional in the apartment. There is a trail to outside gardens, a 30'x72' greenhouse, and you can view birds and sea life from the Cliff Dwelling on the bluff.

Guest access

Easy instructions and information will be in the apartment

Interaction with guests

I am available for any questions via email phone and usually in person to share a cup of tea or glass of wine at the Cliff Dwelling if you like. Otherwise you will enjoy complete privacy. Once a Booking is confirmed airbnb will allow me to share my website which has lots of information and pictures about our place and things to do in Homer and around Kachemak Bay.

Other things to note

There is high speed wifi of 10 Mbps for easy streaming. A 24 inch Retina screen iMac is also available for your browsing, movies, music, etc.

This stay was our second with Steve. We had a lovely time. The bed was comfortable, the view was amazing, and Steve was the perfect host. The kitchen had everything we needed to we easily cooked most of our meals. We had been traveling for a week and made good use of the washer and dryer in the evenings after our adventures. His new addition of a viewing area on the cliff was an excellent location for morning tea. I can never resist wandering through his gardens and high tunnel. His wife's green thumb is a joy to behold. Who would think you could grow peaches in Alaska?
