Milkmaid's Cottage is a spacious one bedroom cottage equipped to a high standard. The cottage has two bathrooms one upstairs, and shower room downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped including full size cooker, fridge freezer and microwave. The cottage is situated adjacent to the owners home, on a working farm with cattle, sheep, hens and dogs
Great walks from the door, parking outside the door, Ideally situated to visit the many attractions in the Peak District including Chatsworth House.

The space
Milkmaid's cottage is on a working farm of 140 acres. It is ideal for two people, the cottage is full central heated and double glazed. With two bathrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs. From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to lose hill ridge and enjoy spectacular views over the Hope Valley. Lot of eating place in the village of Castleton 15 minutes walk from the cottage. ideally situated to visit Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Peveril Castle

Guests have outside sitting area and garden to take in the fabulous views across the Hope valley, Castleton and enjoy a drink or BBQ a laundry is available for guest to use We have lot of buliding to store any bikes.

Other things to note
We live adjacent to the cottage so we are on hand to help. We are a working farm with sheep, cattle, working dogs and hens so dogs must not be allowed without been on a lead
If you are travelling on public transport we are more than happy to collect you from the train station in Hope or bus stop at the bottom of the lane, by prior arrangement. This service is not available at the moment due to covid-19 and social distancing

We provide tea coffee milk, sugar, bread, butter, eggs, tea, preserves and orange juice for a breakfast , so guests will not have to rush out and buy something.

Here's what to expect when you come to stay Arrival
Our check in time is now slightly later at 5pm unless prearranged to enable us to carry out the extra cleaning measures
We will be operating a self-check in, but will be on hand at a social distance if you need any help
We will provide extra cleaning products and hand sanitizer to use during your stay
When you enter your Cottage please take your shoes off and leave in the entrance
We have removed non-essential items to reduce risk and make cleaning easier, but if you need anything let us know
Cleaning
In addition to our usual thorough cleaning routines we will be sanitising all high touch surfaces with disinfectant spray
In the cottages all cutlery and crockery and glasses will be run through the dishwasher ready for your arrival
Remote controls are in a plastic bag to reduce risk
Laundry
We will provide pillows, duvets, sheets and towels as usual. If you feel happier bringing your own pillows and bedding just let us know
Linen and towels are washed at 60 degrees
Adhere to social distancing during your stay
Tell us immediately if you feel unwell
Before you leave open all the windows and give the toilets a final flush
Strip the beds and place linen and towels in the bags provided
Empty all rubbish bins
Experiences
Some of our local Peak District attractions won’t be open but there are plenty of wonderful walks from the door and you can still order take away from most of the pubs.

Bear in mind that you will probably need to pre-book tickets in advance to visit attractions which are open.

Chatsworth House, Lyme Park Eyam, Hadden Hall, Bakewell, Castleton caves and lots moreCastleton is a picturesque and historic village set within the beautiful landscape of the Peak District. It is famous for its Blue John mining history and has four show caves. The beautiful village has six pubs, cafes, shops, general stores, a post office and visitor centre. Peveril Castle overlooks the village, a walkers paradise . 'The Ridge' walk was vote on TV with Julia Bradbury as one of the top ten walks in the country. Winnats Pass, leading into the village, is describe by some as equal to the Cheddar Gorge
