Hi Caroline, we were actually away during your visit, but we're very sorry to hear that the guests in our space weren't as considerate as most! We will consider rewording the language of that listing to discourage booking by folks who plan to be up late, and we appreciate you letting us know. Of course when you book a room in a house instead of a whole place, you pay quite a bit less in exchange for not having total control over possible noise (although in a city, that's often true even if you book a whole place!).
We were disappointed that you gave us less than 5 stars on check in, because we offered you a larger room when you booked to better accommodate you and your daughter, but never received a response from you until you arrived and asked about it, and by then someone else had booked the room, so we weren't expecting you to be expecting to check in to the more expensive room. You may want to confirm that you're able to get AirBnb messages on the app, as this is the way AirBnb encourages guests and hosts to communicate. Hope the college visits went well though!
