I am an Aruban nature aficionado and everything that is local. This comes to expression in my 30m2 apartment. My fascination for nature is an idée fixe, and as such my apartment is a tribute to that. Local art decorate the place.
The apartment comes with a sizable patio. You are welcome to smoke, but please only do so outside on the patio. The living room with open kitchen is overlooking the patio which is a breezy place to chill and relax.

The space
The bedroom has a large window that opens to the patio.
The bed is 60" x 80", the top mattress material responds to your body’s unique shape, weight, and temperature, automatically adapting to support your body.

The living room has two "hand-picked" designer chairs, a flat screen TV and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is rather small, but it is however fully functional that you are welcome to use.

You will be provided with beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a coolbox, free Wi-Fi access, digital guide book, fresh towels and bedsheets. Help yourself with coffee or tea and my very personal secret nature guide of Aruba.

Almost everyone in Aruba drives a car. Nevertheless, I have a bike or two that you can use while you are here (first come, first serve). On the bike you are 5 minutes away from Palm Beach, 10 minutes away from Eagle Beach and 15 minutes away from Malmok.

There is a supermarket across the street that is open from 08:00 am until 10:00 pm
Bakery, pharmacy, take aways ( open until very late ) restaurant and local bars close by.
You are on the bike 25 minutes from the California Light House.
5 minutes from the butterfly farm and the Bubali Plas Bird Sanctuary, Island Yoga and SuperFood (big supermarket).

From the apartment the 7/7A line of Arubus takes you straight into the City center in about 15-20 min dependents on traffic.

Where you’ll be

Noord, Aruba

There is perhaps no district on the island that is a symphonic menagerie of all things Aruba than Noord.

Nearby are many touristy spots and attractions, lots of local and international restaurants, a butterfly farm, many water-sports, stand up paddling and surfing, horseback riding, hiking and biking and a variety from sandy to rocky beaches.

With the neighborhood's proximity to major hotels, malls, and plazas, many locals—particularly those in the hospitality industry--have settled in this area, making it the most populated district on the island.

Here are my personal recommendations:

The northern reaches of the island, including Palm Beach, the epicenter of tourism on Aruba and home to the high-rise hotel area, world-class restaurants and cafes, nightclubs and bars, casinos, shopping, and the protected wetlands of the Bubali Plas Bird Sanctuary.

The northern coastlines includes the beaches of Palm Beach, Fisherman’s Huts (a windsurfing and kite boarding mecca), Malmok, Boca Catalina and Arashi (spectacular snorkeling spots).

The historic and recently refurbished California Lighthouse anchors the district of Noord, casting a watchful eye over the area. The iconic grace of Santa Anna Catholic Church lies in the heart of the district, while the historic Alto Vista Chapel sits perched on a hill overlooking the northern coastline.

I have lived here for the most part of my live and I love AirBnb. That means you will get great service and I will help you to immerse yourselves straight into the lives of locals. Feel free to book or message me first, happy to answer any specific questions in advance. In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking and experiment in the kitchen. I am a well traveled Airbnb guest. I know what a host should do to create a memorable guest experience. My favourite countries visited are Canada, Colombia, USA and Panama. Why I Host? Our natural resources are already very limited. By renting my property I think I am contributing with nature conservation, as I am sharing the space with others. In this way I get the chance to know others and share experience and culture.
