Villa OM! Oh My God! What an incredible place is this. It is very calm and serene, tucked away somewhere in Arpora. The stairs to the villa leads to a slice of heaven. The pool, the villa and the ambiance makes every single penny worth it! Also, the pictures displayed in Airbnb does less than 50% of justice to the place. Incase you stumble upon this villa for your next stay in Goa, don't think twice just book it. Thanks Villa Om and team for the spectacular stay.

Villa Om as the name sounds is exactly the same. It’s a peaceful and pleasant. Having the whole house for yourself makes it one of the best and a place so well designed makes it even more exciting. Deepak is a great host and he has been very informative with our incessant queries. The assurance from him as regards the amenities in the house along with the house itself was spot on. It wasn’t a surprise as to what we saw and what it turned out to be. In fact it was way better that expectation. As you enter the gate of Villa Om there is a stone walkway with greenery on both sides and you see the guest house on the left and watchman’s room/control room in front. From the right side its again couple of stone steps going up to the pool and the main house. The house is designed with all heart and we were 4 of us so we chose to use the bigger house and seldom used the guest house below. The premises is vast and with ample trees around. The house is centrally located to all the interesting places in North Goa. The traveling made it quicker and gave us ample time to spend at the destinations. The caretaker, Sumitra, is very courteous and even though our check-in was late night around 3am, gave us a warm welcome and complete tour of the place. She doesn’t interfere with unnecessary visits and left us to be but was always there when needed. She is a great cook as well and though one would want to try all the amazing shacks around, do request for at least one of your meal from her. Just one thing for people who would need assistance with local car or airport transfer. Do talk to the dealers directly as she arranged for a vehicle for airport transfer and we kept asking for the fare beforehand so that it is not a surprise in the end. There was some miscommunication and she informed us an amount lesser and then the dealer asked for more. Just to have clarity, talk to the dealers about money by yourself so that there is no ambiguity when you check out. Kindly keep a check on water usage and ensure water tank to be filled if staying for longer. Don’t wait till it is emptied. Filling it back and getting the water running takes good amount of time. We were left with no water few hours before check out. The pool, all for ourselves, was amazing and at night its way better. Just a precautionary note: please do carry good repellents as there are mosquitoes and Deepak and Sumitra both will mention about it so do not neglect it. The room lighting is very interesting and during the day rooms are pretty airy as well. All in all it has been a fabulous and memorable stay. This would always be our first choice if we are...

We got really lucky by finding this place. The host, Deepak, is extremely prompt with answering any queries and the caretaker, Sumitra, is simply a delightful person. The pool is probably the cleanest we've ever seen. The decor is elegant and the well equipped kitchen really makes it a comfortable place to stay. The property itself is really close to Anjuna and all the other popular beaches and still feels extremely private. It is a hard place to say goodbye to and you'll find yourself trying to figure out how to extend your stay right from day one!

If the pictures suggested the place to be a 4 on 5, the real deal was a 6 on a 5. The villa is well equipped with a loaded kitchen, comfortable sleeping arrangements, powerful air-conditioning, spacious bathrooms and a fantastic private pool. One of the bedrooms is located separate, but that did not seem to be an issue at all. We were a group of bachelors and there could not have been a better place to chill.

Deepak's place was spacious and well done, there are two large bedrooms, our stay at the house was pleasant. The Villa is situated in a convenient location if one is interested in north goa, the villa is at a walkable distance from Saturday night market, and it was great to not drive as it gets congested on the roads. Any AirBnB experience depends on the interactions with care taker/ host almost as much as the place itself, and we were a bit disappointed by the care taker of this place. This is our first time in goa and as such, we have learnt a bunch of things in general about goa and about the villa. - Transportation options are limited. There is no Uber or ola in goa and people use rented bikes and taxi service. Note that taxi service is inflated and you'd need to have the itinerary beforehand for most of the services to give you a quote. - The villa seems old and a bit unkempt on the inside. We are fine with this, but expect to find centipedes, cockroaches and frogs on the wall in your living area and bedrooms. I would suggest that the host make sure the living areas are cleaned as well. - The care taker of the villa could suggest that her family can arrange for bikes/cars if needed (we have booked both from them) but I'd suggest stay away from that. The bikes her family gave us were illegal(with out commercial license) and we were stopped by the police on our way south. When we confronted them about it they were unhelpful and hostile. - The care taker took it upon herself insist and invite potential guests into the villa and our living spaces. I would recommend that Deepak speak to her about common courtesy of not doing so when there's a booking already. - There are many cafes at walkable distance, prefer it over food made by the caretaker. The host has some good suggestions in the villa. - A general trip is to not have trust that the care taker and vendors in goa have your best interested in mind, even though it might not be their intention to actively put you at a disadvantage not being vigilant yourself will have the same affect. Ask for receipts of transactions and get to know the terms and conditions before hand. - Some of the wiring seems arcane, dangerous and needs an upgrade. For instance the wire for the AC in the main villa burnt up on third day of our visit, we had to fix it ourselves at night, note that this is not a longterm fix and for safety of the guests it needs to be sorted.

Response from Deepak:
Hi! Manish, I am sorry for the AC wire and we will have it fixed. I will also speak to the care taker about your concerns about the space which is normally extremely well kept as the last guest who stayed their a week before you left with an incredible feeling and a happy holiday leaving a very nice review about the villa. We hope that we can make your next visit more comfortable. Thank you. Deepak

The pictures don't do justice to the place! The villa has unique architectural features that make it hip while the windows and high ceilings keep it light and airy. It's a great place to go with a bigger family as the second bedroom is separated from the main house. The pool is well maintained and gets good sunlight throughout the day. Although the property is located on a main road, it's very quiet and secure. We would recommend getting a motorbike rental as it's not easily walkable to the surrounding beaches or cafe. However, the famous Saturday night market is within walking distance and given the traffic, it's very convenient to be able to walk. The property manager lives next store and was very helpful in answering questions related to the house or securing transportation.
