300m from the Doubtful Sound jetty, our one-bedroom cottage overlooks Fiordland and the Waiau river and is complete with all the comforts, including a wood-burning fireplace for cosy New Zealand winter evenings.

Perfect for couples- our cottage is not suitable for children.

Situated at the edge of Fiordland National Park, the lakeside town of Manapouri provides a base for journeys into the glacier-carved wilderness.

Lake Manapouri is known as the most beautiful lake in New Zealand and is the second deepest.

Explore Lake Manapouri by kayak or take to the hiking trails – the Circle Track or Kepler Track are local favourites. Some guided tours involve a bit of everything – hiking, kayaking and sailing.
Manapouri has a two pubs with restaurants and a small store. Supermarkets and restaurants are found in Te Anau, a drive of 20 minutes.
The permanent population of Manapouri is 228- it's a tiny town!
