Other things to note
The Cottage was completed in Spring 2019. It is modern but cozy. If you have not experienced concrete enhanced floors you may not realize that they are sealed but not further finished. They have minor mars and dents as part of their charm. Rugs are placed around the bed and the bathroom for your comfort.

Netarts is a lovely small community tucked away off the major roads. The bay is beautiful and full of wildlife. The cottage is located just a block away from the water and is located at the mouth of Netarts Bay. We have seals, brown pelicans, eagles, and Herons that you can see from the beach. We have many local hiking trails and the kayaking is excellent here. There is a wonderful guide about the water trails of Tillamook County that is worthwhile taking a peak at. Walking the beach and taking in the natural beauty is very satisfying with lots of sea life to discover. You can also crab right off the beach at the mouth of the bay. There are two small groceries within a block and two restaurants within walking distance (1/2 mile).
If you are adventuring a little further away, Cape Meares Lighthouse, Cape Lookout, Jacobsen Salt plant, Whiskey Creek Fish Hatchery and the city of Tillamook and all of its attractions, are easy destinations to explore. Whether you are looking for an adventure or a quiet getaway, I think you will find the Netarts experience, perfect for you.

Let the Journey Begin- I’ve just ended my career working as a special education preschool teacher. Now I volunteer and enjoy the beautiful place that I live. I like to sit on my front porch and read crime novels or whatever book my book group is reading. I spend time working on my Farmers Market business and drinking a little wine with friends. Kayaking the local bays and rivers is also a passion. One of my volunteer activities is at Latimer Quilt and Textile Center- a “must visit” if you are into any kind of handwork when you are visiting in our area. Last year I built this cottage and am enjoying living within a block of the beach.
