I enjoy providing area information, guidebooks, maps, and support to help you make the most of your stay in beautiful Summit County. I work so am often out and about walking the dog or skiing, but am available via cell phone (almost) anytime!

We have many terrific restaurants, pubs, and shopping. I am happy to provide recommendations for favorites. Summit County offers SO many recreational activities such as world-class skiing and snowboarding, tubing and ice skating, dog sledding and snowmobiling, mountain and road biking, sailing, rafting, and kayaking, and some of the best hiking and biking trails in the world. Hunting, fly-fishing, and golfing are nearby. Great cultural choices are also available when it is time to slow down such as Dillon and Breck theaters, Breck Music Festival and National Repertory Orchestra, summer weekly free concerts, Friday summer farmers market, wine, and foodie events throughout the year, dancing, art festivals, galleries and more!

Summit Express free bus service is just steps from our door and takes you to Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain as well as the towns of Frisco, Dillon, and around Silverthorne. You'll need to transfer to reach the resorts. There are efficient shuttle services from DIA including Summit Express. Enterprise Car Rental is close by, and Uber operates in Summit County but the availability is not like in the city.

Free parking is just around the corner, about 20 steps from the door with 4 spaces. 8 more spaces are just a little further away if these are full (sometimes weekends and holidays can be busy). The street and parking is plowed by our HOA but we live in the mountains so be prepared for alpine conditions. We don't have nor need air conditioning - it is cool enough even in the hottest part of the summer just to open a window and let the mountain breeze cool you off.

Guest access
No smoking is allowed inside my home, but you are welcome to smoke (tobacco or 420) on the private deck with 6 patio chairs and a lovely view. Marijuana is legal in Colorado and my deck is a safe and legal place to smoke or partake in edibles if you decide to try it.

A Kuerig coffee maker is set up for your tea, coffee or hot cocoa; a toaster for breakfast and if you'd like to make eggs or something else, that is available as well. I offer simple cereals or biscotti for a quick bite.

In our high alpine environment, you'll want to drink plenty of water and our tap water is treated fresh snowmelt so it doesn't get any fresher or tastier (no need for bottled water from the supermarket) and I am happy to lend refillable bottles for your use during your stay. If you need to adjust to the altitude (we are over 9,000 feet in elevation).

The kitchen is available for cooking during your stay by arrangement. Please let me know if you plan to be using the kitchen, I usually have a specific space in the refrigerator for guest food. Warning: my freezer is pretty small and usually rather full, so limit your frozen food purchases unless it is winter and you are OK leaving it outside. PLEASE respect the kitchen use - clean up after yourselves, take out the garbage and recycling, wipe up the counter, and use kitchen items tenderly (ie using wood or plastic utensils with Teflon pans). This is a great way to save money and relax after a day of adventure, so I am happy to have you use the kitchen (including spices and condiments) just so long as you can keep it cleaned up!

Other things to note
There are a number of additional amenities AirBnB doesn't offer on the list I offer - coffee maker, toaster and toaster oven, access to the refrigerator, and guide books!
Please, if you do decide to cook here, clean up after yourself and treat the pans gently (no scratch utensils for teflon, etc.). You are welcome to use spices and oils so you don't have to buy those items. Bring a reasonable amount of food since we are sharing the refrigerator - I have had a couple buy enough for an army, stuff the fridge, and then leave it all here for me to toss out!

We have many terrific restaurants, pubs, and lots of shopping. I will provide recommendations on some of my favorites. Summit County offers SO many recreational activities such as world-class skiing and snowboarding, tubing, sledding, ice skating, snow bikes, dog sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and now the ice castles in Dillon in the winter. In summer, mountain and road biking, sailing, rafting, and kayaking, and some of the best hiking and biking trails in the world are just outside our door. Hunting, fishing, and golfing are nearby - Cutthroat Anglers is my go-to fly fishing outfitter, voted Best of Summit. Great cultural choices are also available when it is time to slow down such as Lake Dillon and Breckenridge live theatres, the local movie multiplex, Breck Music Festival, and National Repertory Orchestra, summer weekly free concerts at our local amphitheater at the lake, Friday summer farmers market, wine and foodie events throughout the year, dancing and live music at the bars, art festivals, galleries and more! There are tubing and sledding hills in the winter nearby and I have a plastic sled or a classic wood toboggan available to use for your sledding adventures along with hill recommendations.

I enjoy hosting visitors to Summit County through Airbnb and love living in the mountains! My passions include skiing (a lot), yoga, hiking, great food and wine, live music, dancing, movies, family, and friends. Travel is a particular passion and my bucket list stays long as I learn about new places and discover yet-to-have adventures. My favorite trip so far was to Egypt, which included diving in the Red Sea, hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings, cruising the Nile and riding a camel to the Starbucks and near the Great Pyramids. Meeting locals is the very best part! My favorite food are dark chocolate dipped strawberries - because it's fruit AND chocolate, what could be better? Oh, maybe a chocolate dipped strawberry with champagne ...
