Bosphorus.. the most precious part of Istanbul. It looks like a wide river flowing from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea. You will have a very peaceful and relaxing time here, enjoying the views of sea and nature. Our house is located in a very safe and quiet neighbourhood, while at the same time it is still close to the city center.

Bus stop is just two mins away. Buses go directly to Kabataş, Taksim, Beşiktaş, Ortakoy, Bebek etc. If you want to have a scenic Bosphorus tour along the coast, you can have it for the price of a bus ticket with these regular buses. Or if you prefer the metro, it is 10 mins by bus. Taksim is 30 mins away by bus+metro. Rumeli Hisarı (Rumeli Fortress) is just 20 mins by bus. Emirgan Sakip Sabanci Museum is just 15 mins by bus. Grand Tarabya Hotel takes max 5mins. or if you want to walk it takes max 10 mins.

One of the biggest shopping mall which called ISTINYE PARK 15 minutes from my place by minibus or bus. Istinye park has a lot of different and well-known clothing brands and souvenir shops. You can also try different Turkish traditional tastes many restaurants in Istinye Park.

Our house is situated inside a very nice, huge garden. Our guest room is facing the garden and the Bosphorus. You can go walking along the seaside which is 2mins away from the house. There are lots of parks around and Belgrade forest is close by. You can also find nice fish restaurants and cafes around. There is a nice Greek restaurant called Egeli just two mins away. You can enjoy Greek music with your delicious sea foods. One of the most famous bakery shops in Istanbul is again just two mins away. They have a range of all kinds of delicious Turkish desserts and pastries (baklava, börek and hundreds of different kinds of amazing pastries).

Koç University, İstanbul Technical University, Beykent University close to house.

There are 2 bedrooms. The guest rooms have comfortable beds and a huge wardrobe which has a full lenght mirror. There’s a second entry to the part of the house which bears the room and bathroom so it feels quite like a seperate place. But of course you can always use the main entrance instead. Fast wireless internet connection is provided in your room. We have a nice balcony with a huge garden in front. At summer you can have your breakfast at the garden. I was nice to be a guest for Irem's mother and father. Park place is available at their garden and very close to the coast road. I highly recommend you to stay around Tarabya.

The room is in Irem's parents' house. We really liked staying at their place. The room was as it appears in pictures, and the hosts were very friendly. The cab driver had a hard time finding the place, but I called Irem's mother and she gave directions to the driver in Turkish which helped. She very kindly offered me breakfast the final day, with vegetables from her garden. She also let us check out later.

The room is the same of the picture, very clean and warm. the bathroom was comfortable and functional. The shower has a strong and hot jet of water. For me it was a perfect stay. Just perfect! (ask Irem to pick you up at the bus stop the first time: not super easy to find at first but once you'll be there, you'll love it! Super comfortable, quiet, clean and... beautiful view on the Bosphorous!) Enjoy!

Irem and her family are great hosts and have a very comfortable house, which I have no hesitation in recommending to others. I stayed for a few days at the "Room&Big garden Close to Koc Uni" whilst visiting my family located at Koc University. The location is perfect if you wish to be away from the hustle and bustle of down town Istanbul. You can easily catch the ferry from Sariyer down the Bosphorus into Istanbul centre, and across the Bos to the fish restaurants on the Asian side. This is Irem's mother and fathers house and they were lovely friendly and helpful hosts. I met Irem at the house and she was also very friendly and helpful. Irem's dad very kindly took me in his car to the university on the last day of my stay, and Irem's mum, who speaks very good english, gave me fresh figs from the garden. The accommodation itself was fine and comfortable. One thing to be aware of however, is that the house is located up a short but quite steep hill. If you are not very fit (like me) you will puff and pant up the hill. That said, the views from the patio are spectacular across the Bosphorus. If you want to stay in a proper Turkish house and town, away from the tourist areas of Istanbul then this is the perfect place.
