The cottage is fully self-contained and independent from the main house, located in a private corner of our picturesque grounds.
Completely renovated to a high standard, featuring a spacious, comfortable lounge, separate bedroom containing a queen size bed and built in wardrobes. The kitchen does not have a stove/oven but you can self cater using the microwave, nespresso machine, toaster and electric frypan, you can also use the barbeque. Tea, coffee, milk and continental breakfast are provided

The space
Your cottage is situated in a third of an acre section in Elizabeth Street heading out towards Reikorangi Valley. If you like to talk gardening, this is the place for you, Eddies veggie patch has featured in New Zealand Gardener, that and Chris's decorative section have been part of the Lions Super Garden Trail. We are situated close to the Hemi Matenga Bush Walks and are only a 10 minute drive to the beach.

We have lived in this quiet neighbourhood for 10 years and have really good neighbours on each side and across the road, but because of our high hedging we only see them when exiting the property, nice to know they are there though.

Hi, Our daughter emigrated to New Zealand from the U.K. in 2001. She has since married a great kiwi bloke and we decided in 2005 to join them in this beautiful country. We are now proud Grandparents to a lovely 9 and a half year old girl and spend our time now that we are retired, helping out with the family, gardening, lawn bowls and lots of d.i.y. We love good food (Chris is a great cook) and the produce from our large veggie plot is put to good use. Eddie is a Freemason and a member of the lodge in Waikanae. Chris is a member of the Waikanae Spinners and Crafts Society and is a great knitter. Our kids have just bought a holiday home in Martinborough, one of the great wine regions of New Zealand and guess where our D.I.Y. skills will be put to use next. Perhaps the Matinborough home will be on airbnb soon.
