This is a self contained cabin with a seperate bedroom and ensuite. The cabin is situated on the corner of a 1 acre section surrounded by native plants and a small vegie bed for your use. Its located in Lake Hawea township and is a short drive or 12 min walk to the Lake. Wanaka township is a 15 min drive.

The space
The Blue Sky Cabin is a cozy, private space with private entry, a fully fenced area and a lovely sunny lounge and deck to relax on. It is walking distance to the beautiful Lake Hawea (12 minute walk) and far enough away from street lights to enjoy a beautiful big sky at night.
There are plenty of day hikes in the area for keen hikers or biking trails plus a local store and Cafe with takeaways and fresh produce or there is the Lake Hawea Hotel which has a bar and restaurant which has an incredible view up Lake Hawea. Just 15 minutes drive away is Wanaka, a beautiful town with restaurants, a supermarket, and great retail stores.

We are a family living on an acre with chickens, 1 dog and we love to garden.

During your stay

We live on the same property as the cottage. I try to greet guests on arrival, If we don't see you on arrival we will leave you to enjoy a private getaway. We are always available by phone or on Airbnb messages.
