The space
You enter the building (only three flats) and walk up two flights of stairs for your apartment. Right on the left of the entrance you understand why you booked this flat. You get in the windowed living room with your incomparable cruise-like view on the sea. The room is equipped with a TV viewing area with 43" smart TV, free Wi-Fi, Queen sleeper couch and two small but comfortable armchairs. A coffee-table (where you will always eat) and two chairs complete the room’s . A small ethanol fireplace is available during the winter to make the atmosphere of the stormy sea just perfect. Now go back to the dining room with a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine but also the traditional Italian moka, utensils and cooking equipment, dishwasher). Proceed to your relaxing private bedroom with double Select-Comfort bed, bedside tables & wardrobe. Get out from here in another small but charming terrace facing on the Centre of the town and the beautiful square. I know you will not believe but…. having breakfast here in the fresh and quiet hours of the morning is our most common and loved choice. Go up to the white stair and just enjoy your….. sea-cruise…no words are adequate to describe what you will feel. A full bathroom completes the flat, again with the same view on the sea. Towels and bedding are washed in hot water with organic detergent and no scents. This is a non-smoking property.

Location

Aci Castello, Sicilia, Italy

Aci Castello (Sicilian: Jaci Casteḍḍu) is a small town located 9 kilometres (6 mi) North of Catania on the Mediterranean coast. The town of Aci Castello developed around the castle, which was built on the lava in 1076 by the Normans upon the foundations of a 7th-century Byzantine fortification. Aci Trezza is the small village close to Acicastello (5 minutes walk) you can see from the terrace. the village has a long history of maritime activity. Of the coast of Aci Trezza are three tall, column-shaped islands. According to local legend, these great stones are the ones thrown at Odysseus in The Odyssey. The islands are referred to as the "isole dei ciclopi" (islands of the Cyclops, or Cyclopean Isles) by locals. This complements the notion that the Cyclops once had a smithy below Mount Etna, which looms over the village to the northwest. Giovanni Verga's novel I Malavoglia ("The House by the Medlar Tree") is set in Aci Trezza. In 1948 Luchino Visconti filmed his neo-realist film La terra trema, based on Verga's novel I Malavoglia, in Aci Trezza. The entire cast were local inhabitants rather than professional actors. A small museum dedicated to the film can be found in the town, and is run by one of the cast members. The patron Saint of the town is St. John the Baptist. The Festa of San Giovanni is celebrated each year during the last week of June 24 in his honor. Aci Trezza is a very popular spot for Italian vacationers in the summer and it is full of coffee shops, restaurants. Life night is unbelievable and if you like disco you will find one of the most beautiful one in the word (Banaker). Acicastello is definitively is more quiet (and we prefer it) but you can also find several nice coffe shops, restaurants and pizzeria as well as several places where you can take away high-quality Sicilian traditional fresh food if you don’t like to cook for some days.
