The Owl House is a cosy retreat, five minutes from historic Fortingall. This former outbuilding has been lovingly renovated and commands beautiful views over the glen. At night, add some logs to the wood-burning stove, sit back, and enjoy listening to the owls hooting. Glen Lyon, Ben Lawers, Schiehallion, Aberfeldy, Drummond Hill and Loch Tay are just a stones throw away. Well-behaved dogs welcome.

The space
The Owl House comprises an open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room on the ground floor with a wood burning stove and modern kitchen with fridge, electric hob, electric oven and washing machine. Patio doors to the front open onto a paved terrace with views over Drummond Hill. Stairs lead to the first floor bedroom with adjoining en suite shower room with underfloor heating. Everything is provided for a peaceful, relaxing break - towels, linens, tea, coffee, Highland Soap Company shower products, and a log store stacked full of wood for the fire.

The Owl House is located in the tiny hamlet of Garth, just a few minutes drive from Fortingall. The house is on a private drive with no through traffic. Walks are available directly from the house. Many attractions are within a 30 minute drive: Loch Tay, The Crannog Centre, Highland Safaris, Glen Lyon, Aberfeldy, The Highland Chocolatier, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Ben Lawers Nature Reserve, Shiehallion.

After living outside of the UK for 18 years - 15 years in the USA and then 3 years in Colombia - we decided it was time to return home with our young family . We are so happy to have found our perfect nest in the heart of Highland Perthshire, just minutes from historic Fortingall, Loch Tay and Glen Lyon.
