The space
Approximately 1200 square feet of space to use in the downstairs suite of our home with a shared entrance. Due to the recent pandemic, we will no longer be providing breakfast, only beverages and there is a 2-night minimum stay required. Please note that although there is no stove, there is an electric griddle, electric frying pan, rice cooker, generous-sized toaster oven and access to an electric pressure cooker and slow cooker. There is no need for a stove with all of the appliances provided for cooking. Our beautiful gardens in the summer make it pleasant to enjoy our outdoor space and large front porch as well. Base price is for one bedroom (1-2 people). If an additional bedroom is required for only 2 guests, there is an additional one-time fee of $20.
As a means to reduce plastic waste, there is Brita-filtered water in the refrigerator in lieu of plastic bottles.

Guest access

We have 2 adorable, very affectionate, short-haired male cats, but your space is cat-hair free as they are not allowed go into your area. If you have a mild to moderate allergy to cat hair/dander, you should be okay.

Location

Kingston, Ontario, Canada

Although a car is definitely an asset, there is excellent bus service available. This safe, quiet neighbourhood is a 15-minute drive from the 401, 2 minutes to the Kingston airport, 5 minutes to St. Lawrence College and 10-12 minutes to Queen's University and downtown Kingston. We are only 4 blocks away from Lake Ontario, LeMoine's Point conservation area and the Waterfront Trail. There are many good eating places and other conveniences within a 5-minute drive. There is lots to do in the Kingston and surrounding areas and we would be more than pleased to help you plan your time while in Kingston. Visit the city of Kingston website for more ideas.

Although new to Airbnb, my husband and I have hosted young international students for 17 years and served others quite extensively as previous owners of a cottage resort and B&B in the Kingston area. We enjoy helping people feel comfortable, at home and to explore this beautiful part of the world. I am a retired RN and my husband is a retired Stationery Engineer. During the summer, we love to garden and explore local venues while during the colder months, we travel more extensively to warmer climes when the opportunity arises. We would love to share our knowledge of the area with you.
