The Malelane area is famous for its rolling sugar cane valleys, which border the beautiful bushveld plains of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Mlondozi Self-catering Chalet offers a comfortable, private and fully-equipped garden chalet, in the prestigious Mhlatikop security village, which is only 5 minutes from the Malelane Gate entrance to the Kruger National Park.

The space
** The Mlondozi Chalet team is excited to announce that we have just completed the upgrading our chalet. The new space offers a far more spacious bedroom and lounge area, a new dining area, and an improved braai area outside.

~ Mlondozi Self-catering Chalet is located down a quiet cul-de-sac in Mhlatikop security village, on the owner's property, and has it's own separate entrance and secure parking.

~ The new, spacious bedroom is light and airy, offering views of a beautiful park through double sliding doors. Providing 4 single beds, the chalet is ideally suited for a small family, or for business travelers. Crisp white linen and cool concrete floors, combined with soft furnishings and home comforts, offer a restful retreat in our very warm climate. DSTV and free WIFI make your stay more enjoyable.

~ The kitchenette has basic self-catering appliances, such as a 2-plate stove & mini oven combo, a toaster, a microwave, large fridge/freezer and kettle. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are provided, as well as coffee and tea-making facilities.

~ A spacious dining room offers views onto the garden and patio. Here, families can enjoy meals or play games, and business travelers can set up their workstations. A chest freezer is always on for food and ice.

~ A separate bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and basin.

~ The shaded patio is surrounded by a small enclosed garden where guests can relax, read and braai. A countertop with cold-running hand basin makes it an ideal space to prepare food or enjoy a meal.

On hot summer days, a zinc tub (with cold water) in the private garden affords guests the pleasure of cooling off.

- Firewood, Charcoal & Ice are available to purchase.

The birdlife in the area is prolific, with many special bushveld species regularly visiting our garden. By day, Vervet Monkeys forage through the tree tops, and by night, one might see a curious Bushbaby. Birders will be delighted to see the many species that have made this unique bushveld village their home.

A bushveld fanatic, a zoologist, qualified game ranger, wifey and mom... this is me. Having grown up in Johannesburg, South Africa, I always dreamed of a life closer to the Kruger National Park. In 2006, this dream was realised and we have since lived on Kruger's doorstep. We love to share this special bushveld paradise with all we meet.
