This is a two story 1923 historic home that has been well preserved. In the off season and on week days we allow the option of renting just the downstairs to accommodate smaller groups. The river view is beautiful with a nice breeze. Our stretch of the river is 2 miles down from the popular tubing outfitters so it remains peaceful and quiet year round with the occasional kayaker, turtle, or hawk passing by. We are a 10 to 15 minute drive to San Marcos and Lockhart, and 35 miles from Austin.

When renting just the bottom floor we lock access to the upstairs space. It is not shared with other guests.

We are in what is considered “downtown” Martindale. But it’s still very quiet and peaceful as the population of our little town is just over a 1100. You can walk to the River Cafe ( which has live music on the weekends), taco stand, and little grocery store downtown.

We are a married couple in our 30s. We have two amazing boys (6 and 3). We love traveling and have seen a fair amount of this inspiring planet. However, nothing beats central Texas and it's amazing rivers. We have been hosted by so many kind folks all around the world and want to offer that same hospitality to our guests. We are blessed to live so close to the San Marcos River and want to share all it's beauty with you.
