Welcome to Kaupokonui Cottage – built in the early 1900s and set on a private hedge lined property, this cosy homestead is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Ideal for families, groups of friends, or someone simply wanting some space to getaway. Conveniently located close to the Kaupokonui beach, a short drive to Manaia township and a quick trip to Hawera or Opunake, the cottage makes a great base to explore all that South Taranaki has to offer.

The space
Filled with original features, ornate ceilings and native rimu floors, the cottage provides all the basic comforts of home and is spacious enough to easily accommodate up to 5 adults.

There are two larger bedrooms – one a queen, one a double, and one smaller room with a single bed, all furnished with fresh bedding, warm blankets, and comfy pillows. A cot is available upon request. The bathroom has been modernised and includes a shower over the bath, perfect for a soak at the end of the day.

The kitchen is equipped with the essential items for you to prepare meals and the separate dining area with a garden view and large table is the ideal space to share them. The generously size lounge is the perfect place to relax in front of the log burner fire or to enjoy a movie on basic Sky TV.

You are welcome to explore the cottage garden and enjoy the seating in the sun-soaked spots, a picture-perfect place for an outdoor meal or an evening drink, where you can take in the mountain views.
