Located on Meadow Lake, part of the Guadalupe River System, Pecan Grove Retreat is conveniently situated half way between Austin and San Antonio. Great home for two families with lots of amenities including two kayaks, ping pong table, foosball table, hammock, hammock chairs, fire pit, charcoal/gas grill, wifi and central AC.

Close to New Braunfels (25min), San Antonio (45min), Austin (1hr) and Houston (2.5hrs) Corpus (2.25hrs)

The space
Named after the pecan grove it was built on, Pecan Grove Retreat is a relaxing oasis conveniently located between San Antonio and Austin. It is the perfect get away if you are looking for a relaxing weekend or week on the Lake or River. The home is situated in an area with little to no boat traffic, which make makes it perfect for swimming, tubing, kayaking or paddle boarding.

Pecan Grove Retreat offers a spacious open floor plan perfect for two families with two bedrooms with king beds, a bunk room adjoined to the master for the kids, an entry room with two twin beds and a full pull out couch in the living room for overflow guest. Bathrooms are stocked with bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, toiletries and toilet paper. The Kitchen is also stocked with pots, pans, dishes and basic condiments. There long driveway with plenty of parking for 5 cars.

Pecan Grove has a huge back yard with lots of outdoor spaces to entertain and great view of Meadow Lake. There are several decks going down to the Lake with plenty of space to lounge and hang out with family and friends. Outdoor amenities include a BBQ grill that is gas and charcoal, two outdoor dining tables, a fire pit, a seating area with an outdoor umbrella, two ladders to access the lake, two chair hammocks and two kayaks to explore the lake and go fishing. Meadow Lake is a little known fishing gem and several species of fish can be caught here including: Bullhead, Crappie, Catfish, Large Mouth Bass and Bluegill. We also have several producing pecan trees on the property, so feel free to pick some up and take them home with you.

If you are looking for more of an adventure, you don't have to go far from here to find it. Pecan Grove Retreat is located less than 30 minutes away from Schlitterbahn, Tubing on the Comal and Gudalupe Rivers in New Braunfels, the San Marcos Outlet Mall, Natural Bridge Caverns, The Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo featured on Dirty Jobs, The Gruene Hall , Gruene Historic District, the New Braunfels Rail Road Museum, Landa Park, Prince Solms Park and the Faust Street Bridge.

If you are looking to do something close, there is ZDT's Amusement Park, Floating the Guadalupe at Seguin Tubes, The Seguin Aquatic Center at Starke Park, Blue Lotus Winery, Seguin Brewing Company, BS Brewing Company and the Pape Pecan Nutcracker Museum which are all less than 10 minutes away. Pecan Grove Retreat is a few minutes outside the city limits in the country. Even though we’re out of city limits, we are still less than 5 minutes to HEB, Walmart and several restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Neighbors are friendly and like to stop and chat. There is an empty lot the the left of the house and a sweet widow that lives to the right. If you are looking for more space, there are two tiny homes for rent, one lot over.
