Our apartment is one side of a New Orleans-style shotgun double. It is located in the historic Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. The apartment boasts decorative brick, high ceilings, front porch sitting area and a cozy, tastefully decorated interior. It has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, queen size bed and everything you need to rest and relax following your days and evenings of exploring the richness of this city: the culture, food, music and so much more!

The space
You will have the entire unit to yourself with access through the front door. There is a front porch sitting area and the access to Crescent Parks (along the MS River) is just around the corner at the end of the street. There is a set of pocket doors which connect the apartment to the other side, however this will remain closed and locked during your stay (and is only used for access for cleaning between stays). There is a front living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The bedroom and living room can be separated by closing a second set of pocket doors between the two rooms. (This could be done, for example, in the event that one guest wanted to go to sleep while the other wanted to stay up and watch television.) The unit is light-filled, has high ceilings, a brick chimney with mantel and is tastefully decorated with art, plants and accessories.

Guest access
Guests will have access to their rented unit and the front porch.

Location

New Orleans, Louisiana, United States

Our house is located in the hip and historic Bywater Neighborhood of New Orleans. You will love staying here! One mile from the French Quarter and one block from the Mississippi River (and stunningly beautiful Crescent Park), this house is in the perfect location. It is just far enough from the French Quarter to be within walking distance, yet still peaceful and quiet. It is close to coffee shops, restaurants (both quaint and critically acclaimed), parks, bakeries, music venues and more. Within a four block radius of the house you'll find two parks, a coffee shop, a record store, a blue bike rental hub, a New Orleans' style restaurant, a delicious pizza joint, several bars, a corner store shopping market, a German style beer garden, a thrift store, bakery, and day use restaurant/"country club" with a pool.
