This light and airy backyard cottage is the perfect get-away in North Berkeley, a short walk from tons of shops, theaters and restaurants and 2 blocks from a BART (subway) station and bus stops. Easy to get around and fill your day with delights!

The space
The cottage features vaulted ceilings, a skylight (with light-blocking shade) and multiple windows that create an open, light-filled space. A wall mounted heater warms the cottage. The bathroom's shower has a light and fan. The kitchenette offers a microwave, coffee-maker and refrigerator — no stove, oven, or kitchen sink. (There's a sink in the bathroom.)
Located in our fairly secluded backyard, the cottage is part of our home life. We ask that renters keep a relatively low profile in terms of noise. However, you are welcome to spend time in the private patio area that faces the cottage.

Although Berkeley is a bustling city, our neighborhood is relatively quiet and extremely walkable. An 8-minute walk takes you to the North Berkeley BART (subway) station, and a 15-minute stroll brings you to the Gourmet Ghetto, a strip of incredible restaurants on Shattuck Ave (including the world-renowned Chez Panisse). The UC Berkeley campus and all the shops and restaurants of downtown are about a 20-minute walk away.
