Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Cwmderi is an old Welsh cottage at the heart of a working farm and with superb views of the Cynin valley. The cottage has been restored in an open-plan style to a very high standard in traditional ways using local materials, at its centre is a large wood stove. There are places for picnics on the farm and plenty of quiet walking routes around the area.

The space
Guests are welcome to meet the farm's livestock (sheep & cows) but, unless advised otherwise, are asked not to do so without us present.

Where you’ll be

Llanwinio, Llanwinio Carmarthen, United Kingdom

Llanwinio has a lot of history, human and natural. So far 86 species of bird have been seen on the farm, there are a large numbers of native mammals and wide varieties of trees, wild flowers, ferns, mosses and lichens. There are several earthwork-castles locally, one right across the valley, and an ancient ogham stone was uncovered during construction of the church. Our farm lane - not road - is believed to be the last remaining part of a prehistoric 'ring-defence' about Llanwinio. Rocky beaches are 15 miles to the North West and Sandy beaches are 13 miles to the South East.

We are a working farm, rearing purely grass-fed cattle and sheep. We are in a very secluded valley in West Carmarthenshire, lovely views and lots of walks - lots of hills too... We are thirteen miles from sandy beaches in the South and fifteen miles from rocky coves in the North and eight miles from the Preseli Mountains in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
