Uncle Chef's was ideal for us as a rural getaway to visit both the railway market in Mae Klong and the floating market. The home stay was wonderfully peaceful, on the river, and there is a temple just a short walk away. Uncle Chef was more accommodating then we could have ever hoped for, giving us lifts to both the markets, and marinating and barbecuing meat we bought from the market. I highly recommend a visit!

This homestay was one of my best experiences in Thailand. It was so refreshing to be away from the big city and touristy spots. Uncle Chef and his wife really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. Visiting the small local river market was a highlight for me - very unique and authentic experience!

This place has left me speechless. The place looks exactly like in the pictures, and you wake up to the sound of music from the temple next door. Uncle Chef made it soo easy to get to his home, he told the driver where to drop me off and he picked me up in his personal truck. He took me around to all the markets but you're also more than welcome to walk around or get a different ride yourself. The fried his wife makes is amazing! Love it! He offers breakfast but he'll take you to the market to buy lunch and dinner. The hospitality of this city and Uncle Chef and his wife's kindness completely won me over. I will definitely book them again on my next visit to Thailand:)

We loved staying at Uncle chefs place however, it was very hard to find it. The directions weren't clear and it was difficult to understand him by phone. Also the place doesn't have a sign outside.

Lovely setting, close to nature, rustic cabins, clean, bathroom has a toilet and shower head and tap. Lovely breakfasts Thai style. Uncle Chef kindly drove us around to reach the markets. Would otherwise need to hire a taxi or tuk tuk. The temple is opposite. There was a festival the weekend we visited for the monks so it was quite loud but ear plugs helped, and my son and husband barely noticed it. It's right near the river. Uncle Chef was a Chef previously and can cook up anything you want. We requested Tom yum soup and noodles which were delicious. Really enjoyed our stay.

Our travel schedule got a little complicated and we were not able to visit on our initial booked date. But the owner was very understanding and offered to change our dates even though it was past the AirBNB window. Thanks so much for being so understanding and attentive to our travel plans.

Off the beaten path, this beautiful pod of huts is a must for the adventurous traveler. Our family was happy and comfortable here. The trees, wildlife, and canal provided an amazing setting for the first leg of our holiday in Thailand. Uncle Chef is a most gracious host. He chauffeured us around town to the coolest markets and temples and provided a delicious breakfast each morning. I could see this place as an ideal retreat location, also. We loved it here and will recommend it to all our traveling friends!
