Hi Oliver, first of all we're really sorry you were unhappy with your experience and we will take your feedback on board. As you signed up the same month you made the booking, it seems that this was your first experience staying in an Airbnb apartment and perhaps your expectations did not match the reality. Many Airbnb hosts, including ourselves, also live at the property. So it's different from renting a serviced apartment, and from the photos you can see that you will be living among our possessions. You can also see that there isn't a huge deal of space in the bedrooms for suitcases. We made sure we left shelves and hanging space and hangers empty / clear for your, but we're sorry that you were lacking space in our bedroom. There were no books or games on the floor, but yes, we put pictures against the wall on the floor as there isn't enough wall space for them - but we like it like that. With regards to the living room, we also hope that it's clear that anyone sleeping in here will not have blackout blinds or similar and that it's our living room and not a bedroom. But as per your feedback, we have added a note to our listing to say that it's probably not ideal for light sleepers. We could also have happily provided sleeping masks. I'm really sorry that you had to deal with a leak from the kitchen - these things happen unfortunately and are not related to how the house is maintained. My support team tried to call you to offer a plumber to come immediately that night, then you told me you had fixed it but the plumber should come and check it anyway. You and I agreed by text message that they would come in the morning. We offered you £50 compensation for having to wait in for them that morning and I'm still happy to offer it to you, but you have not taken me up on the offer. With regards to the heat, unfortunately you stayed in our flat during one of the most intense heatwaves the country has ever witnessed. When you asked us for fans, we offered to give you £50 reimbursement if you purchased them. You didn't tell us for a few days that you tried and they were sold out. We then offered to send you some direct to the house via Amazon but you didn't take us up on that offer either. We apologise for the small amount of mildew in the bathroom - it's very small and the extractor fan vent is unfortunately installed at the opposite end of the bathroom to the shower, meaning some periodic build up is inevitable. We also painted the ceiling with anti-mould paint to try and prevent this but we thank you for drawing it to our attention and will now clean and reapply.
