Along the Great River Road in the heart of plantation country, your Airbnb is in the small town of Vacherie, Louisiana. You will be located within 6 miles of 5 famous plantation homes, including Oak Alley, St. Joseph's, Laura: A Creole Plantation, Whitney, and Evergreen.

Vacherie is an hour drive from both New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and the house is 2.4 miles from the Veteran's Memorial bridge. Vacherie is an essential stop on your plantation and swamp tour of South Louisiana.

The space
This private home is a duplex and is divided into separate units.

As of February 2021, we now have a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, gas range, stove, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker. We provide oatmeal and pop tarts, along with coffee, cocoa, and tea so you can have a hot breakfast to begin your day. (see pictures for further details) We have recently added a utility room with a washer, dryer, and sink, which guests have free access to.

You will have access to a pool table, dart board, and other games in the game room. You may feel like you are in a "man cave" because the stone fireplace is adorned with mounted deer.

There is a paved driveway where you can park your car.
