Where you’ll be

Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada

Inverness is home to the top ranked golf courses in Canada – Cabot Cliffs (ranked first) and Cabot Links ( ranked fourth) and the number eight ranked course, Cape Breton Highland Links in Ingonish (about 2 hours away). Inverness is one of the top destinations for golfers in the world. Golfers can park their car for the weekend and just walk across the street to golf then walk back to this newly renovated home. You can walk to the nearby grocery store, restaurants and pubs for the evening or take a walk to the beach via the new beach access a block away or go down the beach road at the other end of town. Stroll the gorgeous boardwalk nestled between the beach and the golf course or along the beach itself to catch some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises in the world-they are stunning! Go to the local pubs and restaurants to catch the same amazing sunsets each night while listening to some of the best live musical talent in the world. During the summer there are music festivals and dances nightly. The fall brings the internationally acclaimed Celtic Colours music festival (52 concerts in 35 communities) throughout Cape Breton with top artists from all over the world.
There are boat tours of the shoreline, deep sea fishing, whale-watching tours, and kayaking tours. Divers can go to local islands and explore or can locate many sunken vessels from World War Two Corvettes to old galleons which have already been stripped of their cannon balls and other treasures.
There are nearby country markets with delicious locally grown food and Cape Bretoners are well known for baking homemade delicious cookies, cakes, squares, fudge and many more types of treats. Enjoy the abundant fresh seafood and all the local recipes.
