You could start your day with an early breakfast at any of the gorgeous restaurants around Parque México or Parque España (5 minutes walk from the apartment); then you could visit one of the multiple touristic places that are close to La Condesa like the Chapultepec Castle: the only royal castle in North America. Built in the 18th century it was home to the Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Carlota. The Castle is located at the center of the Chapultepec Park, one of the largest city parks in the world, even bigger than New York City’s Central Park!! Near this amazing city lung you can find numerous museums like the National Museum of Anthropology and the Rufino Tamayo Museum.

From there, you could head downtown through Reforma Ave., home to many Mexico’s tallest buildings and important monuments such as the Angel of Independence. In the city center you could spend several days visiting amazing museums such as the Museum of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Franz Mayer Museum, National Museum of Art, National Museum of San Carlos, San Ildefonso College or Museum of the Templo Mayor among others. You can also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral or the National Palace just in front of the Zócalo, where the Aztec Empire had once settled, or simply enjoy walking through the splendorous colonial architecture found in the area.

In the evening you can go back to the apartment and have some rest before having a nice dinner in one of the high-quality restaurants that La Condesa offers.

From our place you can also go southbound and visit Xochimilco, Tlalpan, University City, San Ángel or Coyoacán, otherwise head northbound and indulge yourself at one of the worldclass restaurants in Polanco.

If you want to take a walk near the apartment you could go to Amsterdam Ave. and follow the old horse track, then you can visit Parque México or Parque España and walk through the land that was an important hacienda during Mexico’s Colonial era. Are you into books? Rosario Castellanos and El Péndulo bookstores are just a few minutes walking distance from the apartment, we guarantee that you are going to enjoy it.

Where you’ll be

Ciudad de México, Mexico

Nice and safe residential area built over a 19th century hacienda and hippodrome that were divided into what nowadays are Colonia Roma, Colonia Condesa and Colonia Hipódromo.

Since its early beginnings La Condesa has accommodated Argentinean, Jewish, Spanish and German communities; this mixture of cultures has left a mark in the neighborhood.

Parque México and Parque España were built in 1921 and since then they have been essential components for the cityscape of the zone. Stories of today and anecdots from the past coexist both in these landmarks, heritage of the entire city.

La Condesa has evolved to become one of the most cosmopolitan and safe neighborhoods in the city; several languages intermingle at its restaurants and coffee shops. It is common to run into intellectual or famous personalities.

La Condesa is recognized for their restaurants, bars and clubs, its wide green areas and parks as well as its fame for being pet friendly. It adjoins very popular areas like Colonia Roma, Zona Rosa and Polanco which has also a great variety of amenities.
