Paved streets and sidewalks are lined with crepe myrtles that bloom in late summer. Older homes--from Antebellum to Victorian and Craftsman style--are set on large, landscaped lots. Large Magnolia and Live Oak trees grow in many of the yards. Foliage is lush and green for 8 months of the year.
