Situated just on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Menai Bridge on the southern tip of Anglesey, the house is set over three levels, with stunning panoramic views over the Menai Straits and the Snowdonia mountains.

The space
Cartrefle Lodge is a 19th Century gate house to a former stately home. Situated just on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Menai Bridge on the southern tip of Anglesey, the house is set over three levels, with stunning panoramic views over the Menai Straits and the Snowdonia mountains.

The front entrance of the house opens to the middle level, which has a room used as a den and study, a spacious bright double bedroom with en-suite wetroom (both new in 2018) and a family bathroom with a large shower cubicle. The rear of this level is the main living room, with an open coal or log fire, piano, and views over the Menai Straits. You will spend your evenings here mesmerised by the fire and looking out onto the water and the two gently-illuminated bridges which cross over into Anglesey from the mainland.

The lower level of the house contains a utility room with washer-dryer, a WC, a games room with a quarter-sized pool/snooker table, and at the back a sleek brand new (2017) kitchen-diner with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the garden and the stunning scenery beyond, which is flooded with light during the day. The kitchen has a full-size fridge-freezer, double oven, electric hob and dishwasher, wine chiller, together with a full range of cookery equipment and crockery. There is a set of patio-doors which open out onto an outdoor dining area.

The upper level of the house contains three spacious cottage-style double bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath, and a small extra room with a cool window in the eaves which can sleep one extra person on a fold-out bed. The rear master bedroom has a set of double French-doors which open out onto a large covered balcony which has unrivalled views of both the iconic Menai Suspension bridge, the imposing Britannia Bridge, the waters of the Menai Straits and the rugged Snowdonia mountain range. A perfect spot for a romantic breakfast!

The rear of the property has ample parking for several cars, and a mature grassy garden extending down the hillside most of the way down to the Menai Straits. A small stream runs through the garden. There is an outside seating area, and various childrens' outdoor sports equipment is provided.
