All about Graham’s place

Situated in central Kiama, this newly renovated 1950s cottage creates a light, bright and comfortable holiday base for up to 6 people. The spacious new kitchen opens to the living area and front balcony with panoramic coastal vistas, featuring Bombo Beach and beyond and down into the Harbour and Blowhole Point.

With polished timber floors throughout, the decorative theme and furnishings provide a real holiday feel to return to after a day at the beach or exploring the local region.

The space
This cosy and comfortable cottage has an open-plan living area. The large fully equipped kitchen has an oven, cook top, microwave, dishwasher and family sized fridge, with a Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities.

The living space opens to the front balcony and has a large smart TV and Blu-ray player, plus board games, books and DVDs. There is free WiFI, so please remember to bring your log-in details for Netflix, Stan etc.

There is a small writing desk, and we have provided a folder with house details plus local tourist information.

Of the three bedrooms, two have Queen beds and magnificent sea views, and one has two Long Single beds which can be set up as a King bed if desired. The cottage is serviced with sheets, bedding and towels supplied, however please bring your favourite beach towel. There is plenty of storage for your cases and clothes.

Temperature is controlled through overhead fans in all bedrooms, and an RC air conditioner in the living room.

The bathroom has a bath, walk in shower, vanity, toilet and hair-dryer, plus there is a separate second toilet. The laundry has a vanity basin as well as a tub, a washing machine and dryer plus iron and board. The large enclosed backyard provides a safe space for the kids to run around.

You can kick back on the front deck with a chilled drink in hand to watch the ever-changing ocean, and maybe spot a passing whale or pod of dolphins.

Kiama, New South Wales, Australia

Kiama is a popular destination as there is so much to see and do. The stunning coastline includes two blowholes and fantastic sandy beaches for swimming and surfing. Kiama Harbour is a great starting point if you like fishing and otherwise mucking about in boats, or to buy your dinner fresh from the sea.

Your path to the famous Blowhole leads to the Kiama Coastal Walk which meanders from the Minnamurra River mouth in the north to Gerringong in the south. There is also a cycling path for more active guests. To venture a bit further afield, there is Jamberoo Action Park, Minnamurra Falls and the Illawarra Fly up the escarpment.

But many guests simply enjoy the fantastic cafes, restaurants and shopping that Kiama has to offer, all very close to the cottage. Every month there are markets at Black Beach, and regular annual festivals such as the Blues and Jazz Festival.

As our cottage is located in a residential street, it is not a party house. Not available for Schoolies, Hens or Bucks nights. Sorry, we are unable to host any pets.

During your stay

The house facilitates contact-free check-in through a lock box. You will be provided with the code to the box in your check-in email, together with the WiFi password. We strongly suggest leaving the key in this box when going out and about. The key must be left in the box on departure.

The house folder has comprehensive details on all aspects of the house and its amenities.

Our local manager, Kate, is available by phone if you experience any issues during your stay. She will seek to resolve any problems as soon as possible. If required, you can escalate issues to owners Graham and Shelley, who are also available any time by phone. We will provide the relevant telephone numbers with your check-in email.

Due to Covid-19, our cleaner is undertaking a special deep clean before each new set of guests to ensure we are protecting you to the best of our ability. Additional time between tenancies will provide further protection.

Cleaning costs are included in the daily rate.
