Welcome to ALBA, our little cottage. Located on a quiet, semi-rural cul-de-sac 5 mins from Turangi.

Our cosy cottage has two bedrooms, large bathroom/laundry space and an open plan kitchen, dining, living area heated by a large heat pump.

The mighty Tongariro River with its world famous trout fishing pools is at the end of the road, the turangi township is a 5 min drive or a beautiful walk past the river and the Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro crossing are only 40mins away.

Note: we are currently completing a new house build at the back of the section and although this doesn’t affect the cottage at all (the cottage living faces the front of the property) there will be tradespeople coming and going and sharing the driveway to access the back section.

The property backs onto farm land and most of the street is holiday homes. It is safe and quiet, a fantastic place for families or those just wanting to get out of the city for a while.

The heat pump will have you toasty warm and feeling relaxed in no time. There is also a portable heater if you prefer.

There is a front deck for enjoying the sunny days outside, which is covered for all weather. Capture the afternoon sun whilst you enjoy a wine or beer after a day exploring Turangi’s adventure playground.

There is a laundry with washing machine and laundry supplies should you need.

The kitchen is a modern and equipped with everything you need for a holiday away from home. You will find basic cooking items and plunger coffee for your morning brew. There is a full 4 burner BBQ for whipping up dinner outside on the deck.

You are welcome to bring your dog with you as we know how hard it is travelling with pets. Please note the section isn't fully fenced, so your dog would need to be comfortable tied up or crated whilst you were not there with him/her.

Fly fishing - People travel from all over the world to fish the pools in this area. There are guides and tackle shops a plenty so you’ll be well looked after.
Boating, skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, paddle boarding on Lake Taupo - there are several boat ramps within 10mins of our cottage.
Snow skiing and snowboarding on Mt Ruapehu’s 3 ski fields.
Hike the world famous Tongariro crossing.
