A compact private room with a single bed in a house where 4 other people live. Shared bathroom and toilet, no cooking (but you can use microwave), no breakfast but we have shops, deli and restaurants just around the corner. Or have dinner with us for €6. Use of washing machine and dryer.
The CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Amsterdam (Nationale Luchtvaartschool) in Hoofddorp is 15 mins by bus.ike to the beach or to the city of Haarlem.
We live 20 km from Amsterdam (train from station Heemstede about 4,5 euro single fare), 7 km from the beaches and dunes of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort and 2 km from the historic city of Haarlem. Room is just for sleeping and resting, because it is very small, yet cozy and with a nice view. No breakfast. Bakery, deli, restaurants, etc. are just round the corner.
You can use the bathroom, in the kitchen heat a meal in the microwave (no cooking), sit in the small garden, use the washingmachine and dryer when they are free
Interaction with guests
I interact just as much as you feel comfortable with, but with mutual respect of privacy. We like to talk with our guests when they choose to eat with us (6 euro). Of course if you have any questions or wishes I'll be happy to help you out.
Other things to note
We have a piano and you are welcome to play it. If you like you can join us for a meal in the evening for a small contribution.
No smoking, candles, fire or drugs, leave everything you use clean. So, nothing special really...

We (4 persons) live in a friendly suburb close to the historical city of Haarlem, 8 km from the dunes and the sea and 20 km from our capital Amsterdam. You will have a (small) private room with a single bed and you will share bathroom and toilet. No cooking but you are welcome to join us for dinner for 5 euro extra or just use the micowave to heat a ready meal. Just around the corner you'll find a supermarket and lots of other shops and some restaurants. You can rent a bike at the station to go to Haarlem or to the beach. Go have a pancake Dutch style or take the train to Amsterdam with all the museums, canals, coffeeshops and fun. I love to meet new people from all over the world and to stay with them when I travel. I really enjoy being a host to people, especially young people or those who are young of heart. So it is nice to welcome you to our house as a guest. We have a cat and a piano. Minimum stay 2 nights.
