Perfect family escape in Prince Edward County

The space
Welcome to The Wilk! A turn of the century farmhouse in the heart of Prince Edward County. This home features 4 bedrooms sleeping 10 people, along with a full kitchen, living room, dining room and great room with soaring 30 foot cathedral ceilings. The property offers unparalleled privacy, sweeping views of the Bay of Quinte and adventure at every corner.

This classic 1850’s farmhouse has been carefully renovated to respect its original architecture while integrating all the modern details we have all come to expect. The furnishings and art are high quality vintage pieces curated from a number of local shops. Large bay windows allow gorgeous light to flow throughout the house. The property offers so much peace and quiet (except for the birdsong!). We’ve got a few trails to wander and deeded access to a little waterfront cove across the road, a ten minute walk away.

Our vision for The Wilk was to create a place where friends and family could come together to unwind, reconnect and explore the outdoors. We are intent on providing an experience that is lighthearted and fun via a highly curated design process with carefully selected vintage furniture, a collection of dog-centric art, a record player, guitar for impromptu jam sessions, piles of board games and outdoor lawn games. We just want you to relax and have fun :) Please note we offer wifi which is a satellite connection but as we are in the countryside sometimes it runs a little slow. Also we don't offer a tv or microwave as we want to provide a backdrop for healthy, quality time with your friends and family.

We love dogs and would be happy to host your furry friends! We just ask that you keep them clean, especially if its raining, and pick up after them.

We can host a max of 10 people on the property and cannot host events, yet.

Location

Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada

The largest community in The County, Picton, and the surrounding area is known for its Loyalist heritage, architecturally-significant buildings, quirky town hill and Main Street shops.

Step back in time with a trip to Macaulay Heritage Park, catch a film or a live performance at the Regent Theatre or get festive at a culinary celebration at the historic Crystal Palace, where the first local fair was held in 1836.

Sail in through Picton Bay to the harbour and marina, where you can dock and walk right into town, or fly in to the Picton Airport at Camp Picton, a former British Commonwealth Air Training base built in 1940.

Work up an appetite visiting lookouts, conservation areas and museums, then stroll downtown to the many pubs and restaurants serving up locally-sourced food, drink and live music.
