This is the original Wave House apartment: contemporary minimalist style (solar powered) - we call it unit 1 and it is a 1 bedroom oceanfront - T1 with fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops inside and out on the balcony, bathroom with shower, WIFI, outdoor shower (cool water only) on spacious veranda (2.6 meters by 8 meters), amazing view of ocean from every room, laundry room all in the best village in Madeira!

Jardim Do Mar is a farming village of 200 people - very safe and peaceful, the apartment has one neighbor on the right side, but they are from Holland and rarely are there. To the left (facing the sea) it is all vineyards, gardens and coastline.

You are surrounded by the sea, gardens with water trickling through waterways as well as vineyards! The village has a central carpark, so there are no cars driving past the house or between the house and the ocean. It is pristine nature and gardens with a sense of peacefulness. There are cafes, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a great place near the Portinho cafe to enter the ocean for a swim (about 200 meters from the home). There is a small market within 60 meters of the house. In case you need a bigger market, you will find one at 10 minutes by car in Calheta, near to the yellow sand beach.

We are a family of seven that loves life and loves being outdoors. We are renting our oceanfront house in beautiful Madeira because our family had to move back to the United States due to our child's medical needs. Our village, Jardim Do Mar, is amazingly beautiful surfing, nature hikes, fishing, swimming etc. all around. The Wave House is the best located property right in front of the waves and surrounded by terraced gardens and vineyards descend towards the sea and surround our house. Please come stay at our house and support our family!
