The Sleepy Tide is a peaceful retreat set upon one of Provincetown's seashell lanes, steps from the beach and short walk to the hustle and bustle of town. This studio apt has a sleeping loft, private ocean-view deck, tons of natural light, and Cape Cod charm. In the East End, the Sleepy Tide is around the corner from the East End Market and a block from Fanizzi's restaurant. On 2nd floor - must be able to climb stairs.

The space
Guests park in the private driveway, head up the external staircase, and enter the Sleepy Tide via self-check-in. Walking in, you will be struck by the cozy charm.

The living room, complete with a twin daybed and couch, sits to your left. Furnishings are eclectic and comfortable. The walls are ringed with windows, filling the unit with natural light. The kitchen sits to the right and is stocked with everything you need for light cooking.

The bathroom is down a couple stairs and around the corner. It's equipped with a stand up shower, sink, and toilet. We provide cruelty-free bath products for your convenience.

The sleeping loft is accessed by a narrow staircase/ladder (it's kind of a hybrid between the two - check out the pictures) and sits above the kitchen, looking down over the living room. There is a railing for safety. There is a super comfortable temperpedic-like bed and soft Pottery Barn/Garnet Hill linens. Lying in bed, you will be able to see the stars through the skylight (unless of course you pull the blinds). It's like being in a treehouse or a secret fort.

Out beyond the kitchen is the long private deck which overlooks the seashell lane. Make yourself comfortable with a glass of wine on the deck's loveseat or enjoy Wellfleet Oysters at the deck's bistro table. You'll be able to see the ocean from the deck.

After getting settled, you'll surely want to stroll down the lane to the beach which is just a couple of hundred yards away. The bay is perfect for swimming (i.e. no sharks) and the beach is just right for reading the day away. The beach goes on for miles once the tide goes out. You can easily walk the tide line to town for a day of shopping or night of revelry. You can also walk the beach to Truro for a change of scenery.

The Sleepy Tide is a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of town as well as a convenient home base for a week at the beach. We love it here and think you will too!

Where you’ll be

Provincetown, Massachusetts, United States

The Sleepy Tide is the best of both worlds - quiet, peaceful, set apart from the exuberance of downtown Provincetown AND close enough to easily walk everywhere. Best of all, the beach is just at the end of the lane.

The Sleepy Tide is in the East End which is known for it's art galleries (and home to the Friday Night Gallery Stroll) and restaurants (Fanizzi's, Ciro & Sals, The Mews). There are two small local markets less than a quarter mile away (the East End Market and Angel Foods) - and both offer all the staples plus a great wine and beer selection, local produce, and fancy cheese and crackers.

My wife and I live with a melange of rescued, special needs animals. We hate going on vacation without our furry family. For this reason, we are delighted to offer an AirBnB space that welcomes people and pets alike. In October of 2016, I was hit head-on by a drunk driver in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday. My injuries were extensive, and it is not an understatement to say that I am lucky to be alive. Every day, I give thanks for the gains I've accomplished and set my sights on the gains yet to come. You just never know what life will bring, do you?

During your stay

Julie and Rudy live in the other half of the house and are available for restaurant recommendations, suggestions for a good hair salon, directions to great dune walks, and anything else you need. However, as introverts and frequent Airbnb vacationers ourselves, we recognize that you may want to keep to yourselves, which is totally fine too.
