Where you’ll be

Jeonju-si, North Jeolla Province, South Korea

Jeonju Hanok Village, located in Pungnam-dong and Gyo-dong, Jeonju-si, was built against Japanese merchants during the Japanese colonial period. About 800 hanoks, a traditional Korean building, are concentrated. Jeonju Hanok Village, which preserves the old things in a rapidly changing city, is famous as a place where you can taste the old traditions of Korea.

You can meet aspects of Korean culture at Gyeonggijeon, the holy place of Taejo, Jeonju Hyanggyo, the filming location of Korean Wave movies and dramas, and if you walk along the old alley next to Jeonju Nanjang, which has recently emerged as the hottest destination, Arangwol is located. It is also fun to dress up in beautiful hanbok, take photos in alleys, and choose traditional performances and various events. Don't miss the specialty foods of Jeonju, such as Jeonju bibimbap, Jeonju bean sprouts soup, tteokgalbi, and Jeonju makgeolli hansang, omogaritang, and pisundae.
