The space

Southcott Cottage is a gem. Secluded within the heart of Wiltshire's countryside yet close to great amenities and facilities if desired. You feel you are totally private and secluded but have the convenience of all you could desire only 5 mins away. Fabulous for large family gatherings and entertaining with a large outdoor patio and firepit.

Southcott Cottage is a beautiful cottage set within an Organic Apple Orchard and 19 Acres of parkland. Close to one of the White horses in Wiltshire, it is ideal for people who like walks or just a simple break away. The cottage is an 8 minute walk from the village, which has a direct train to Paddington and other fantastic facilities on tap. The Cottage sleeps 9 comfortably and can sleep 10 if required.

The property has 5 bedrooms in total. 3 Upstairs One Master with en suite and 2 further bedrooms ( one single which can be expanded into a double and one King which can separate into twins) serviced by a family bathroom and 2 bedrooms downstairs 1 large en suite bedroom and a single with a trundle.

Southcott cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing & peaceful break in the English countryside but is also within easy reach of many tourist attractions including Stonehenge, Avebury & Salisbury.

The cottage is adjacent to a Grade 2 listed manor house (Southcott Manor) where we live and an original Tithe thatched barn. We shall be there to welcome you, times permitting, but otherwise we shall leave you in peace unless needed. It is very much the perfect break away for some R and R and is a home away from home. We have comfortable beds, good quality bedlinen and towels and a well equipped kitchen.

The cottage is child friendly and access to a trampoline and other toys. Wifi is available

The property is surrounded by 19 Acres and great public footpaths. The village of Pewsey, 5 minutes walk away has 5 great pubs, lovely bijoux shops and much more.

There is a large trampoline, football net and resident Guinnea fowl. When there are spare vegetables from the garden, we will put a selection in the cottage fridge for your arrival (please note this is seasonal!)

The village of Pewsey is in the Pewsey Vale - the village is totally surrounded by countryside and there are lots of places to walk or bicycle. The Pewsey Avon trail starts 2 minutes away and follows the course from Pewsey to Salisbury following the River Avon.
The beautiful village of Marlborough is 7 miles away with a feast of activities on offer. A full Summer course programme, Clay Pigeon shooting, Golf and more.
The Cottage is ideal for families with Children at Marlborough College who want a close bolt hole for exeats and half term. For historical lovers Stonehenge is 30 min drive away.

The village has lots of great local pubs. The Royal Oak has just been renovated in the village. For Gastro lovers there is the Seven Stars at Bottlesford, The Red Lion, East Chisenbury, and the Harrow, Little Bedwyn. All do excellent food - Both the Red Lion and the Harrow have Michelin pub awards for food and are well known Wiltshire pubs which people come a long way to visit.

The cottage is ideally situated for the following places of interest

A lovely sociable kitchen/living space that was ideal for a family Easter get together. Any issues were seen to quickly. We can imagine it would be a fantastic place to send the long summer nights out on the patio. Thanks for having us!
