One of five rustic hand built cabins, set on 8 acres of tree studded hillside with stunning mountain views. Perfect escape for nature lovers who want to get back to the basics and enjoy the tranquility of nature. With power and heater you will be cosy and a queen sized bed ensures a comfy sleep. A basic camp style fully equipped kitchen with two -hob gas burner for cooking & attached bathroom completes this basic cabin. PLEASE NOTE: Wi-fi does not work in the cabin

The space
This is a classic rural kiwi experience which allows you to unplug and get back to basics without sacrificing comfort. Set on the incredible doorstep of Fiordland national park its the perfect base for all your Fiordland adventures- just 5 mins drive to Doubtful Sound, 15mins drive to the start of the Kepler track and 20mins to Te Anau -the gateway to Milford Sound.

This cabin has power, heater and a fridge. Basic hut style kitchen with gas burner and all your pots and pans you might need to create a feast!

Attached bathroom makes this a completely self contained cabin perfect for those wanting a little extra comfort than a basic hut.

While there is no wi-fi in the cabin there is free wi-fi on site a few mins walk up to the top of the hill. There is also good cellphone coverage here.

We have two private outdoor hot baths for an amazing soak under the stars or watch the sun set over the mountains with a glass of wine- perfection! $20 per bath (two people can fit snugly into one). Must be booked in advance and can only accept cash
