A Peaceful Place is located in Newport, TN. This is a rural one-room cabin with boho décor and a perfect getaway to meditate, relax and just get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located on six acres in the Smokey Mountains outside of Newport, Tennessee. The cabin is not too far from major tourist attractions like Asheville, Hot Springs, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, hiking trails, rafting on the Pigeon River, craft fairs, and more. The cabin is only 13 miles from Hartford, TN where you will find many different white water rafting companies to choose from. The property is only 31 miles from Gatlinburg’s shops and restaurants and only 24 miles to the quaint town of Hot Springs, NC yet secluded enough to enjoy the peaceful scenery and disconnect from the world. It’s also just a 30 miles drive from the Glades Arts and Crafts community. A day trip to Dollywood and the many other activities in Pigeon Forge are less than 36 miles away. Also feel free to just hop in your car and take a leisurely cruise along the scenic Foothills Parkway. Downtown Newport also has many restaurants including Grilled 73, a unique Russian restaurant on the river.

There are mountain views on three sides of the property. You can sit on the front porch and view lovely mountains and woods or surround yourself in nature enjoying the tremendous beauty around the outdoor fire pit. Or grill out on the charcoal grill and enjoy your home cooked meal with outdoor seating at the picnic table. Winters are quiet and cozy and the views are even clearer. The spring and summer are very lovely and the fall colors are breathtaking! Enjoy being surrounded by nature and observe the wildlife right from your front or back porch. There is a short trail to the back of the property where you will find a bench to relax and take in the breathtaking mountain views and sunsets too. We’ve had deer in the yard and wild turkeys ranging through. The back deck has a hot tub for four. It is drained and cleaned between every guest. With a fully equipped kitchen, you have everything you need to cook a complete meal. Local TV channels with news and children’s programs are available or bring your own movies to play in the Blue-ray player provided. We do have a small selection of romance, action, and comedy movies there. The area has good cell phone reception. Internet is only available if you have your own reception plan. We use AT&T and receive internet just fine. The bathroom has a full, walk-in corner shower. Our small kitchen has an electric stove/oven and apartment size refrigerator. Kitchen sink looks out a view window. A queen size bed and queen size sofa sleeper will accommodate up to four guests. The cabin is perfect for a family or a couple seeking a quiet getaway.

This property is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp to the front porch. The front door and bathroom door are 36” wide.
