Relax, escape and refuel in our little family vineyard. Our apartment "Burgundy" is located on first floor (stairs) with a balcony, a combined living & sleeping area and a fully equipped kitchen. Located close to Freiburg in a small village between Freiburg and the boarder to France.

The space

Our apartment offers a private space with a combined sleeping-living room area, 1 double bed and a double pull out sleeping sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, private bath (shower) and balcony*. There are two apartments in this part of the building.
*The balcony does face towards our neighbours, so you might hear children and adults playing or the road/tractors/cars when sitting outside.
This is a bright and sunny apartment with lovely afternoon sun.

Guest access

The inner courtyard is open to our guests. You can enjoy a glas of wine in the late afternoon sun or have your morning coffee, tea and goods from the bakery here. You can relax in the herb garden behind the barn and even enjoy a game of boules. The whole of Tuniberg is beautiful to explore by foot, bike or a jog.

Our "Schwarzwald" apartment is also available:
-if you are a smaller group, consider booking both apartments.

Interaction with guests

We do offer wine tastings and / or a tour of the vineyard ( please arrange well in advance). If you would like tips on local interest, just ask. You can withdraw to your apartment or ring the bell next door if you need information, wine or milk for your coffee...

This is a small village with beautiful vineyards and a love for food, nice views and green. As a working organic vineyard we enjoy sharing our passion with our guests, but we do need to plan our day so please let us know in advance if you would like a tour or a tasting.

In the summer time we offer a meal upon arrival or any other evening (with 3 day advance notice) served in the courtyard or in the garden (an additional fee applies).

This place is a joy. The upper flat is immaculate, and feels so well designed and built, with lovely artwork on display. The double bed is in the same room as the general living space but the flat feels so spacious that you don't notice (as long as you keep tidy!). The balcony space gives lovely views. Because the space feels so pleasant, we mostly had quiet evenings in. There's a local supermarket with bakery at the other end of the village - a walk away. Maj Britt and Klaus run an organic vineyard and garden, which we viewed... we learnt some interesting aspects of organic farming and tasted the lovely organic wine. Can recommend a day trip to Colmar (beautiful, plus we saw the famous Issenheim alterpiece); we also went to lovely Freiburg taking the car to a park and ride then taking tram.

The accommodation was a minor factor with this stay, however it was great and the apartment had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. For us our hosts made the stay, Maj Britt and Klaus were perfect hosts, we took up there invitation to do wine tasting. We sat in their court yard, totally relaxed and tasted all the wines they produced themselves, talked about organic wine making and had a fantastic evening. The wine was delicious and the company was fantastic a trip well worth making. Thank you to Maj Britt and Klaus and if anyone is planning a trip to this region or are wine lovers (or in our case not so much) this place is a must, recommended massively.

If you are interested in meeting a wonderful couple passionate about what they do and stay in an awesome place, you have to stay at Maj Britt's place. Wonderful experience that i would strongly recommend. Ask her for her guided tour, it is full of details that are of great interest.

We had a wonderfull stay in Maj Britt's very nice appartment (all we could wish, including nice art). The region has some nice cities as Freiburg and Colmar (and a little smaller Staufen), the Black Forest is very near. Although it was a very busy time, the last day of the harvest (Klaus) and a photo reportage (Maj Britt), they both took all the time for us by riding in their car along their vineyards and organising a very nice winetasting. Maj Britt told the whole story of the making of biodynamic wine, very interesting. And the wine was huge. We highly recommend a stay at Maj Britt.

Maj Britt and Klaus' place was super! The accommodations were exactly as listed. The location was convenient for us since we had a rental car. There were so many beautiful and enjoyable experiences close by. Maj Britt was very hospitable, giving excellent recommendations on local restaurants and shops. She suggested an authentic clock maker and we ended up with a beautiful, one of a kind piece of art! We highly recommend Maj Britt and Klaus' place to anyone traveling in this area.

My stay with Maj Britt and Klaus was amazing. The apartment was exactly as stated and MB was quick to ensure that I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. The wine tasting, the fresh, organic fruit and my leaving gift was fantastic. I wish I had been able to stay longer. This area of Germany is also worth spending time to discover. I only had a taster and will no doubt be back as it's so beautiful. Thank you so much for everything.
